I just purchased a 2013 Ford F150 XLT and I am very pleased at the experience and the price. I'm a long time F-150 fan and ever since the crew cab came out I've wanted one but couldn't afford it new wh pleased at the experience and the price. I did a search for new F150 XLTs within 500 miles of Atlanta and Winder came up as the lowest priced. And not just because it was a sale or end of the month or end of the year, but April 2nd the price was so low I was very very suspicious. Usually $12K off a truck is for 3 or 4 trucks out of a group of 40-70 on the lot, but at Akins it seemingly was on every last one. So I was intrigued and contacted the dealership. Woody Sowder and Sam Byrd. To my surprise, the price was as advertised and no gimmicks. To be honest, there wasn't much haggling to do because the price was just too good to pass up. But even though I knew it was a good deal, I wanted to sleep on it. Buying a car is not fun and sometimes I absolutely want to pull away and look over stuff in private before I commit. Sam had no problem with that, didn't bother me with "what can I do today to make you buy this car" or the "I'm not going to let you walk out of here until..." kind of stuff that frankly to me is a red flag. It was like here's the deal, keep a copy of it, if you want to go home and think about it then that's not a problem. I appreciate that relaxed style of salesmanship that comes from the confidence of knowing you've got the best deal going. I woke up the next morning happy to buy this car. Financing was no problem, simple, quick and friendly and no pressure to change things. That was great. Woody showed me around the truck and I was gone. Leaving lots of stuff in my beloved old F-150. I guess I was excited. I probably won't buy another car for 10 or so years, that's the plan. So I won't be back necessarily any time soon but if someone were to ask me my advice I'd tell them that when I bought my F-150 I searched around, I priced searched on the internet and that led me to Akins where I got a lot off and had a simple, professional and friendly car buying experience and thus I highly recommend them. Pricing was awesome! We just loved the no haggle and low price. While securing insurance I recommended Akins and Woody to the insurance customer service person who lives in Chattanooga, TN. Woody was very customer service oriented and did his best to make our experience as seamless as possible. We did wait 2 hours for the car to be cleaned up to take home. Shipping plastic was stuck to the door handles, scratched chrome on driver window trim as well as passenger that Woody found and had his manager approve for replacement. Upon further inspection after driving away we found white smudges on center armrest in front and doors as well as some dirt. More

I was in search of a very specific truck. I contacted Woody Sowder and he found one in particular that met all of the criteria that I sought. Our experience was great. We met with Jim Sullivan and were able to work out a great deal to trade-in our old SUV and purchase a new Ford Fusion.
