I can’t tell you how much I LOVE Al Henderson’s Toyota dealership. I was treated like a queen. From the minute I spoke with Suzette Sinclair, it was a wonderful experience. From the follow-up to signing the lease, everything was smooth and relaxing. I worked with Joe Pieczik (salesman), Fernando Hernandez (one of the sales managers), Dimitry (financial manager), and Suzette Sinclair. I was not rushed, and every document I signed was thoroughly explained. I have already recommended Al Henderson’s Toyota dealership to the person who picked up my old lease car, a VW. After shopping all weekend because I was on a grace period after my lease was fulfilled, the leasing company gave me another five days to pick out a car. Toyota in Kendall, FL did a bait-and-switch using the current sale that was being offered on the bZ models. The salesman acted like the manager, said he was the internet specialist, and wanted me to drive an hour to the dealership to finish the deal. I also decided not to get the bZ because cloth seats were not an option a deal killer for me. The only car that met my budget at that point was a Volkswagen Jetta, and it was not the top of the line. I called another VW dealer and talked to the manager. I gave them the price of a Prius. They told me to come in, said the offer was only good for that night, and promised to match the price for a top-of-the-line Jetta. They absolutely treated me like “just a woman” and did a definite bait-and-switch. They added additional fees to the price and then told me they only had a couple of cars in stock, even though the manager had said they had all colors. For the car I chose all three the salesman showed me he said “there would be an extra $400 charge for the paint color. “I literally walked out of the dealership. They texted me, called me, and followed up the next day. The dealership is only seven minutes from my house, but I promise I will never go back there. I was exhausted, disappointed, and honestly felt like crying because of how horribly I was treated. I remembered talking to Suzette at Al Henderson’s Toyota. I knew I wanted a Prius after speaking with her the first time. Before I could call her back the next day, I received a call from a dealer in Miami offering me an unbelievable price, better than the one he had quoted the night before. I was treated terribly by that dealer as well. When I asked him to send over the worksheet with the quoted price before I drove an hour to sign the lease, it never happened. On Monday morning, I called Suzette back, and we followed the steps to lease a Prius. I couldn’t be happier. After signing the lease and driving my Prius home, I did an Instagram Live discussing my shopping adventure. I have been a Realtor for the last 39 years. I love to negotiate just not cars. I have never seen so many comments when I did an Instagram live agreeing that car dealerships treat women differently. I have leased many cars since living in South Florida, but I have never had an experience as bad as this one. I even used Gemini (AI) to help me with my shopping, and when I mentioned I was interested in a Prius, Gemini put Al Henderson’s Toyota at the top. Again, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to Suzette Sinclair, Fernando Hernandez, Dimitry, and Joe for their white glove treatment. I have already recommended the dealership to the driver who took my old lease car to auction and to my next-door neighbor. More
