Buying a used car Our salesperson, Kevin Fleck, was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We love our new car and feel that we paid a fair price for it. My only complaint with the experience was with the service department. When we test drove our car the tire pressure light was on so Kevin had the service department check the tires and the sensor. They told him that the sensor was fine and that the tires were just low but didn't bother to put air into the tires! After we bought the car and were ready to take it home we noticed the light was still on so Kevin looked everywhere to find someone who would be willing to inflate our tires but no luck. In the end Kevin went above and beyond his duties and drove us to the nearest gas station and paid to put air in our tires. While I am not sure I would go have my car serviced at Spitzer I would definitely buy a car from Kevin again. Thanks. More

Excellent experience! This was my second time buying a Ford but my first time at Spitzer. I was treated very well and everyone went out of their way to get the price right. The wait time between deciding to buy and seeing the finance guy could have been shorter, though. Maybe having more than one finance guy working at the same time would be appropriate instead of me sitting there having to wait for him to finish with the previous family. But I digress. Great experience at Al Spitzer Ford I Found a 2011 Taurus Limited that they had listed on Car Gurus with low miles. The price was the lowest I found. I was not interested if the underbod I Found a 2011 Taurus Limited that they had listed on Car Gurus with low miles. The price was the lowest I found. I was not interested if the underbody was extremely rusted and I conveyed it to Mike Caporaletti, the salesman who took my call. Mike called back and assured me that it was in excellent condition top and bottom. I put a deposit on it and my wife and I drove 200 miles to get it. I was apprehensive as cars are seldom as described over the phone, but it was just as Mike described it and better than what I realistically hoped for. I had previously sold my old 2005 Mercury Mariner and knew I was going to miss it and really didn't need two sedans, so I asked Mike if they had a 2012 Escape. He found one with really low miles at one of their other locations and had one of their drivers go get it. We were able to agree to a reasonable trade value on my 2011 Impala so I agreed to test drive it. When I inspected it, it was in excellent condition and Mike assured me that all their low mileage late model vehicles will have any mechanical issues repaired. During my test drive it had an objectionable howl, which I thought was a wheel bearing or CV joint. A mechanic took it for a ride and put it up on the hoist and determined that it was not mechanical and was the result of unevenly wearing tires. Knowing that I had factory warranty left and them making an adjustment in price that compensated for the largest portion of new tires, I bought the Escape. I also want to point out that this all happened on a Saturday. It is nice to be able to have a dealer open on Saturday. The following Monday I replaced the tires and the Mechanic was correct, although the tires appeared to be decent the uneven wear was the cause of the noise. As a precaution I had a four wheel alignment done and had them check the brakes. They reported that there was all kinds of new brake hardware on the Escape so no service was necessary. It was reassuring to know that Al Spitzer Ford did the repairs that they claim they do on all their quality used cars. So I bought two cars from Mike that day and although it was a long day as the Escape was at another location, their facilities are excellent. They have a very comfortable customer area with a large screen TV and a play area for children. They brought in chicken, potatoes and pizza and offered lunch to all the customers who were waiting. They have a large inside area to inspect the cars and transfer your belongings from your old car to your new car, which was great as the weather was really cold and rainy. All the paperwork went smoothly and as I wasn't expecting to buy the Escape when I left home I didn't take enough money so they arranged short term financing of the balance for me. Considering all aspects of my day at Al Spitzer Ford, my experience was very positive. My impression of Mike Caporaletti, who handled my purchases was that he was truly interested in me being satisfied with my decision and he and the entire staff that I had contact with were very personable and courteous. In closing I would say that a drive out of your area to Al Spitzer Ford is worth the time and gas if they have a vehicle that suits your needs. More
