I knew I wanted a new Subaru Impreza- 2010 or 2011 and what features I wanted with it (Moon roof, heated seats, etc.) I researched inventory online and was contacted by Jon by email. I went in, Chris to what features I wanted with it (Moon roof, heated seats, etc.) I researched inventory online and was contacted by Jon by email. I went in, Chris took me for a test drive. I was really happy with how it drove, so I wasn't gone long, but he seemed willing to drive longer if I wanted. I wasn't crazy about the color of the car we were driving, so we went back and looked at the inventory and I picked out a car that had the color and options I wanted. Jon made the dreaded price negotiations really easy. I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted. When I picked up the car a few days later, Chris made sure I knew how to work everything and even set up the Bluetooth to my phone. As a first time car buyer, I couldn't ask for it to go much smoother. More
Before buying our new 2011 Subaru Outback, we did our homework and visited many dealers including three Subaru dealers as well as Hundai and Honda. Overall, we looked at 6 different cars and drove all 6 homework and visited many dealers including three Subaru dealers as well as Hundai and Honda. Overall, we looked at 6 different cars and drove all 6 for test drives and discussed purchase costs with all dealers. After performing the above, we then entered our request for a Subaru Outback via the internet. Out of the dealers who responded to our inquiries, only SUBARU OF WAKEFIELD responded QUICKLY with a quote of a Outback with the exact configuration we requested. The other dealer internet quotes received did not meet our requested criteria and posted car information with more options than we requested. Upon receiving Subaru of Wakefiled's quote, we visited the dealership where we met Jon and Perry. We were treated quite well, shown the exact car that was quoted (exactly as requested via the internet), and went on a leisurely test drive where all functions/options of the car were thoroughly reviewed and tested. The purchase discussions for the car were easy for the numbers matched the exact quote as received via the internet. There were no surprises. Jon and Perry went above and beyond to insure we had no questions and that we thoroughly understood all features of the new Outback. Subsequently, we purchased the 2011 Subaru Outback and are quite happy with our purchase. More

After years of buying cars it was a pleasure to finally get straight answers including a binding quote after an internet inquiry - not the best quote but the second best. The rest of the experience up to get straight answers including a binding quote after an internet inquiry - not the best quote but the second best. The rest of the experience up to the purchase could not have gone better. Jon and Perry went out of their way to be sure I got what I wanted in a timely manner even to the point of delivering the new car to my home. I highly recommend these guys. Hank from Gloucester More
Our experience with this dealership was excellent from the beginning. The majority of the process was conducted online so we knew exactly what we were getting when we walked into the dealership. Even afte the beginning. The majority of the process was conducted online so we knew exactly what we were getting when we walked into the dealership. Even after the purchase of the car we were treated like valued customers since we were given a thorough tour of our car! We look forward to using this dealer for our service. More
We visited this dealership after after some phone conversations assuring us they had the inventory we wanted. They had 2 Outbacks configured like we wanted. When we arrived we were immediately put conversations assuring us they had the inventory we wanted. They had 2 Outbacks configured like we wanted. When we arrived we were immediately put into a car for a test drive...come to find out after, because the saleman that we were dealing with was "delivering" one of the "avalable" Outbacks. That's OK there was still another one...NOT. I had confirmed the inventory 15 mins before we arrived. Chris stated he could get us what ever we wanted with a $1000 deposit. He wanted to talk price and would only come $700 off of the MSRP. I had a internet quote for $3000 off of MSRP from Milford Subaru (they were closed on Sun and only had 1 in inventory). Chris got his manager and together alternatly called me and Milford Subaru liars. To Chris: Called Milford Subaru on Monday, picked up the car on Wed. For the quoted price...they never even asked me for a deposit. More
We approached this dealership after our first Subaru Dealer (one with a lot of reviews and higher average reviews than Wakefield) would not budge significantly on price and kept talking about monthly pa Dealer (one with a lot of reviews and higher average reviews than Wakefield) would not budge significantly on price and kept talking about monthly payments instead of the out the lot price. Chris Robertson at Subaru Wakefield gave us the straightforward price with discount right off the bat, was fair on negotiations for options (although the sales manager overrode his offers), and paid attention to my wife without being patronizing (it was to be her car). I can't comment on the service department because there is no need to service the car yet. Compared to our first Subaru dealer in the city, Wakefield Subaru was very professional and pleasant. It was a surprise after reading some negative reviews on the web, but our experience was pleasant. It might depend on which salesperson you get. Mostly painless purchasing, although Financing was a bit longer. More
We were looking for a Forester and were VERY disappointed with our service. The first time we came it was towards the end of the night and were rushed through a test drive. The next time we came in, the sale with our service. The first time we came it was towards the end of the night and were rushed through a test drive. The next time we came in, the sales associate we were with barely talked to us during the test drive. This sales associate also talked primarily to my boyfriend, despite the fact we had specifically said that I would be the one purchasing the car. Both times neither staff member talked to us about what exactly we were looking for, other cars to consider, making it seem like they were not interested in helping find the right car for us. Their behavior definitely helped us in our decision not to buy from this dealership. More
My fiance and I stopped in to Subaru of Wakefield to look into purchasing our first Subaru. We left the dealership in about 45 minutes with no intention to return, and almost turned off of Subarus in genera into purchasing our first Subaru. We left the dealership in about 45 minutes with no intention to return, and almost turned off of Subarus in general. We were approached in the showroom after a few minutes of poking around the Forester on the floor. The salesman George demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge of the Forester while conducting a walk-around show and tell of the car. Instead of pointing out nice features on the car, he was practically pointing out things like "This is the door handle. This is where you sit. It comes with a radio." It was embarrassing. After about 60 seconds of pointing out the obvious, he invited us to take a test drive. Since the show and tell was going so pitifully, we decided to go. We could barely get out the door to the lot, though, because the salesmen and mechanics chose to hang out in front of the door and shot us dirty looks as we went to use it. Great customer relations - I can't imagine why you guys have all that time to stand around - probably because you treat your customers like crap and they never want to come back. I was looking forward to the test drive. I couldn't get in the front seat. George couldn't figure out how to adjust the seat so that my knees would clear the dash easily. I'm not a giant, I'm 6 feet tall. As he was demonstrating his complete lack of knowledge about how to slide the seat back, he went on and on about how much legroom there was in the back seat. Just pour lemon juice in my cuts, why don't you. We asked about the differences in the trim levels. Captain Obvious let us know that the difference between trim levels was "options." He didn't tell us what those options were, he just kept saying, "It's just options," over and over again. He actually told us that the different trim levels of the Forester are actually the same car with different options. Gee, no kidding? A premium Forester isn't a whole different kind of car than a baseline Forester? Thanks again. After the test drive, my fiance wanted to see how the CD player worked on the showroom floor model, which had an in-dash GPS. We couldn't look at this because THE SHOWROOM FORESTER HAD A DEAD BATTERY. Real confidence-inspiring when the new car has a dead battery. While she asked him again and again how the CD player worked, he answered again and again "You just punch in where you want to go, and it shows you." Note that this is an accurate, albeit dumb, answer for how the GPS works, but tells you nothing about how the CD player works. After that, we walked right out the door. Thankfully we went to another dealership (Cityside Subaru) where we ended up purchasing a Forester, because the salesperson actually knew how it worked. More
