"Beware their service department"

On Thursday Sept 23, I took my van into Allen SAmuels in Aransas Pass to have my DEF system sserviced. I explained to them the importance of needing my van by Monday for a program for Veterans with disablities. "If it couldn't be fix by then let me know now", is what I said to them. They tell me the codes that it is showing and say it will be done. They say that the DEF pump has failed and it needs replacing. At approximately 2pm on Saturday I am notified that it is fixed and the cost is $2100. I arrange payment and go to pick up my vehicle. I am then told that all the warning lights will reset after I drive the vehicle 55mph for one hour. I do so, and nothing happens. I take it back in on Monday Sept 24, and am then informed to drive it OVER 55mph for one hour. I do, nothing happens. At this point the 200 mile countdown timer has reach 3 miles until speed limited. I return to Allen Samuels and they take it back in to see what the issue is. I am then informed they can't find the issue. I now have to scramble to get people flying in from around the country for my Veterans Program accommodations because I am unable to be there. My vehicle sits at Allen Samuels until Friday Sept 28 with no progress or communication except when I call them. The answer from the tech, James in service dept., and even Quinn Dahlberg the Service Manager is "We don't know, we are trying to figure it out." Rememeber folks, this is a repair that has already been paid for and my vehicle released back to me. I then contact the dealership as well as Fiat Chrysler Corp. The dealership does offer me a loaner vehicle, however I am informed that I have to remain local, no towing, and I am responsible for all damage interior and exterior. I infom them I have to transport a Veteran with disablities and a service animal to Houston, as well as tow a trailer with kayaks out of town. They conceed to allowing me out of town travel but I inform them that transporting the equpment and a service animal in the back of a blank cargo van would be unsafe. "Wouldn’t that pose the same problem in your van, Sir?" is the reply. NO IT WOULDN'T because my van is lined and shelved to provide the protection and traction that I know my business needs. They then offered me a truck. I informed them I was not comfortable being responsible for the damages that I know are likely to happen transporting my equipment."OK Sir. Thank you. We have tried to lessen the inconvenience of your vehicle being down for service. It is unfortunate that you have declined our offer to provide you two different forms of alternate transportation so that you could continue on with your weekend plans. Have a pleasant afternoon." Now it is Oct 3rd and still no communications from Allen Samuels. To summarize; I have been charged for and paid for services that were not rendered and still don't have a vehicle 2 weeks later. That is Allen Samuels in Aransas Pass.

"very poor on tires, good on all other services"

went in to get tire fixed under warranty were told they had to take pitcher and send in dot no. were told in one case it took six weeks, bought tires at dealer ship. had to go elsewhere to get fixed so much for warranty

I came to get service on my car. Lauren seated me in a comfortable lounge and she took my car to service then went to pick it up and brought it to me when it was done. Any other place I have been has sent me to find service dept on my own

My experiences with the dealership and it's staff has been most pleasing! Everyone was friendly and helpful! The facilities there is clean and up to date. I can say that Allen Samuels facilities is the place to go if your in need of a new or used vehicle, not to mention if you need mechanical help.

"Over-the-top service"

While on vacation in south Texas, and driving into the Port Aransas area late on a Tuesday afternoon, the air conditioner on our Jeep failed. Fortunately for us, we called Allen Samuels for help first. I explained our problem to Eli, and told him we needed to leave Thursday morning, if possible. Eli said if I could get it to the dealership by 7:00am the next day, Wednesday, he would have his technician find the problem and see how long it would take to fix it. We got it there. They found the problem, fixed it, and we were on the road by 10:30am!! While waiting, we visited with a very polite and knowledgeable young salesman named Brandon. He kept us entertained while showing us new vehicles! My wife and I were VERY impressed with the service, care, and attitude we experienced while at the dealership!! Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!! PS: The dealership was spotless! The cookies and coffee were good too!

"Absolutely Amazing!!"

I was having car troubles and needed my car to be towed as well as get into a loaner car. The cell towers were down in our area and Lacey went out of her way to get a tow truck for myself as well as a loaner car. She did not have to do any of this but she did, I will never be able to express how much I appreciate her!!! I would recommend her to everyone I know looking for a car!!!

"Poliete service!!"

I came in for an oil change and state inspection, I was a little earie posting such high stars until I was just about to leave. The reason I'm giving this service department so many stars is because of the little curly hair receptionist/cashier. When my advisor was rushing me to leave, and didn't explain my oil change sheet, she did. I was so confused about what to do next with my inspection and thankfully she took the time to help me. It's amazing what a smile and manners can do for a customer. I will be coming back just because there is still somebody in this day in age still understands the sense of good customer service and didn't treat me just like another dollar in her pocket!!

"Check Engine Light Nightmare! "

I took my truck in for a check engine light. Over a week later still hadn't heard anything and went by in person. My truck had been sitting in the back, with body damage, for 3 days and nobody bothered to call me. One of the service guys had backed it in another truck on the lot. Several weeks later and two trips to the body shop there is still fish eyes in the clear coat. This is a fairly new 3500 longhorn that, until now, hadn't had body damage. The girl said they hadn't painted that part but I'm not stupid... You can't paint half a fender and not shoot a clear coat over the entire part. That's not even the end of it, when I left the dealership the check engine light was STILL ON and I turned back around. At this point the girl has a really bad attitude. It was like we were the ones inconveniencing them. They turned the check engine light off. According to them it was "loss of power... battery... because it sat so long." Such BS! The truck had been going back and forth to the body shop. After all this, I get back home and when I went out again the check engine light was back on!!! Obviously they didn't even do a diagnostic check. They just reset it so I'd leave. They were never apologetic. They did give me a loaner but when I said I didn't want to accept my truck due to sub par body work, all the sudden "someone was interested in buying it and I couldn't take it." (Which I had been using for over 3 weeks.) Bottom line, they wanted my truck gone and me out of there. Their attitude made that very clear. I'm a single mom and work full time. It's a huge inconvenience having to take the truck back to the shop again. It won't be going back to Allen Samules though. Hopefully Lithia has better customer service.

"2009 Mini Cooper"

Everything leading up to this date has also been a terrible experience with this dealership my 2009 Mini Cooper has been in this service center about a dozen times. I've had a clutch assembly replaced. A replacement engine has also been placed in a car I purchased at the end of January. They gave me back the car with a ticking engine. And told me they knew it was ticking they wanted to me put some normal driving miles on it to see how it reacted. After fixing the replacement engine , my check engine light came one now apparently my thermostat housing system is bad. So most recently this service center checked the code for the check engine light. Service told me I just needed a new thermostat. I was told LATER that it need a compete new housing system for the thermostat. I brought my car in at 8 am , two days after they said they would have my part. When I dropped off my car I was told it wouldn't be ready until last Friday evening maybe even Saturday morning. I insisted I need my car back Friday and that fixing a thermostat shouldn't take all day but I would have to pick it up at close of business. Around 5 I had not heard from anyone so I called. I was told the that my car still had Not been touched and no one would get to it til Tuesday morning at the earliest. I requested to talk to the service manager. Apparently they don't have one right now so I was directed to a busy GM. Once I finally got the GM on the phone he assured met vehicle would be done Saturday morning. Saturday after noon I called again to check on it to be told again it wouldn't be looked at until Tuesday. Absolutely absurd. Not toe mention the ticking engine they gave me back the time before this. Or the faulty cooling system which caused my engine to blow before that. I was in the service center three days in a row because of an oil light that was on. I was told nothing was wrong and sent on my way. My engine blew with my young son in the car. I have NO faith in this service center Although I have been told Steve dicks no longer works there he too was part of the problem. The only diamonds in that dealership are Danica Lindsey and another lady who I can't recall her name she anwsrs phones from time to time as a backup receptionist. Those ladies are wonderful and professional. My entire experience has been a bad one from the second day I had my vehicle and the clutch was no good. I was sold an unsafe vehicle and even after being in this service center on multiple occasion it has never been up to par for a safe car. Thank you Allen Samuels for reminding me con artist exist. Reminding me that some people are only out for themselves. We are not friends Allen Samuels and we never will be. And if I have it my way none of my friends or their friends will be your friends.
