2018 Hyundai Elantra at Allen Turner I went into Allen Turner Hyundai after hearing about their 0% APR special pricing on their radio add. I had been shopping for a car for about 2 weeks I went into Allen Turner Hyundai after hearing about their 0% APR special pricing on their radio add. I had been shopping for a car for about 2 weeks with no solid success. I was pretty much sold on the vehicle before even stepping into the door, simply based on the price and technical specifications of the vehicle, that really do speak for themselves. I was thinking I would buy the Elantra SE model, but Andrew showed me and my girlfriend the SEL model after our test drive. The added technological features at the cost really made me feel like I was getting my money's worth by stepping up my spending game a bit. I decided the SEL model was the most bang for my buck. We ran the numbers and I took advantage of the 0% APR financing option through HMF and off we went. Dominque, the sales manager, was very professional, a joy to talk to, and very helpful in processing the purchasing paperwork. We chose our warranty options, signed a few more documents, and were off the lot in less than an hour with a brand new 2018 Hyundai Elantra. I was impressed with how the car looked after his crews detailed the entire car while I was going over the paperwork. Although I am very happy with my experience so far, I do owe it to myself, and the dealership, to mention a couple areas the dealership could still improve on. The first thing that I need to mention is the online credit check feature they offer. It advertises instant credit approval and that they don't require a social security number. The portal is neither instant, nor does it waive the social security necessity. Also, when I finally submitted the form, there was no actual confirmation that the form was completed properly... Granted, an online sales associate contacted me in less than 2 hours after filling it out, I still felt like the process was considerably misleading online to potential customers. I do not like to be told one thing and then later find out the reality of the situation is quite different than what I was lead to believe. Shannon, the internet sales representative, was very polite and helpful on the phone though, and was able to schedule a test drive for me later that day. I decided to come in and check out how their vehicles drove. This experience, however, was not a good first contact experience with the dealership. Also, when I first arrived, I accidentally turned into the certified pre-owned lot. They didn't really care that I appeared to be at the wrong lot. They were still very excited to see me and intent on trying to sell me a car anyway, lol. I told them I had an appointment with Andrew and they smiled and sat me down with a James to talk cars. They are apparently very excited about their jobs there :). Andrew, my actual sales agent, called me about a minute after I got there and set me straight real quick to get me to the right lot. So yeah, be careful of that, or you may end up leaving with a different car than what you expected, lol. I was very impressed how personable they were in regards to sending me text messages and calling to check up on me. It felt like they really cared about my experience on their lot. As I said, I am pleased with the overall experience regardless of the unfortunate drawbacks. The cons of the experience seem to me to be just part of the car buying experience in today's society. I accepted it as part of the experience and just pushed through in order to experience the great people and cars that Allen Turner Hyundai has to offer. Thanks for the great car at a great price guys. I'm very happy with my purchase so far. More
