Very Helpful! I had specific NEEDS for a vehicle becuse of a disabled husband and Andrew helped narrow the choices to three vehicles that might meet those needs. UPDATE: Started great...ended poorly....was resolved! This is my second car buying experience. I am pretty young and inexperience. My immediately family has never purchased a car from a dealership so I di This is my second car buying experience. I am pretty young and inexperience. My immediately family has never purchased a car from a dealership so I didn't really have much help. I went in for a used vehicle that I wanted to purchase, something I had been looking at for a while. It was listed as a Toyota Avalon XLE Plus or XLE (SE). I know they say they can't guarantee what you see online, which seems really backwards since they have to upload a photo and type in all the other information. Regardless, the vehicle was NOT an XLE Plus and is listed as such on one of the pieces of paperwork. Which is fine. It technically WAS a good deal either way. My issue is when I went to get financing I was told I couldn't get the vehicle without an extended service contract/warranty. I expressed I did not want one as this used vehicle already had a factory warranty. After talking through it we excluded the service contract on the original sales contract. I then had issues with my credit score. I showed 735 and they pulled 447 to 630. I ended up needing a co-signer so I had a family member join me on the loan who had great credit. After adding the family to get a lower interest rate, I was told that I couldn't get the car with a service contract. It makes no sense and it was really something I didn't want, but I wanted this car. With the original contract my total financing amount was $30,000 (including terrible interest rate) but with the amended one the amount jumped to $32,000. I also ended up putting even MORE down on this car (enough to bring it down to $16,000 needing to be financed). Pretty sucky that a better interest rate and more money down makes me have to pay more. I also feel very stupid and slightly taken advantage of for this. In addition to all this, I also don't have my loan information. I was told it was through Alliance Credit Union, however when I call them they have no record of me having an account. If I could go back in time, I would just drop the service contract/dealer warranty and would have been really happy. Now I'm stuck with this because of my oversight and the strange arrangements that were made to have me buy the car. Overall it seems pretty shady to do stuff like this. I hope I never have to go into the dealership for repairs. Beware of hidden things and the confusion in contract signing. UPDATE: The managers and owners saw my reviews and actually responded to them personally and worked through my concerns and frustrations to restore things to how I expected them. I know that I was misunderstanding some of what was happening as I discussed some of the texts with one of the manager. I appreciated that they actually made it better. Had they not done so I would have kept this rating poor. More

W had an appointment for a test drive and meeting with a sales representative the day we called to inquire about a vehicle we saw online. Negotiations did not require near the back and forth games we have had with other vehicle purchases. Felt we were were treated fairly and with integrity. Every rep was respectful, greeted us (even staff not making a commission) and asked how they could assist. Each staff way-found for us- took us there instead of just pointing. We bought some accessories from parts. This department was outstanding. They called with updates on shipment and only had to wait 1 day. Johnathan gave us detailed tutorial on the car which was invaluable. We were taken care of period. I don’t typically write reviews but buying a car is not always easy and a big decision. People should know about Mike Shaw Buick GMC. More

I don't have to worry about what I might need or do to keep my vehicle running great. The service team at Mike Shaw's are NUMBER ONE in my book!! More
