My experience with the folks at Alpine GMC in Colorado Springs has far exceeded my expectations. From purchasing the vehicle, the outstanding quality of the new vehicle, and the long-term and outstanding Springs has far exceeded my expectations. Actual work done - 5stars. Mechanics? 5 stars. Service Advisor. Negative stars. Advisor knew about this repair 6 days prior to it occurring. I asked at that time about Mechanics? 5 stars. Service Advisor. Negative stars. Advisor knew about this repair 6 days prior to it occurring. I asked at that time about getting a courtesy car and she said they're probably booked up but she would look into it. Day of repair dropped it off for the very first repair slot. Then had to get a shuttle to work at the hospital. 6 and 1/2 hours later I was notified that the repair would not be done today even though I had had the same repair done at a Chevrolet dealership and it took approximately 3 hours to complete. I asked about a courtesy vehicle and the advisor said there wasn't one available. I said that's not acceptable and after some back and forth I said how am I even going to get home from my job because I took a shuttle from the dealership? At that point I notified her, the service advisor, That if I was going to need a ride back home and then back to my job and running my kids around. If a courtesy car was not available, I was going to be billing her directly as well as a service manager for the Uber rides and rental car to get me to my job, hospitals, kids, etc. Shockingly (heavy sarcasm) my truck ended up being finished on the day I brought it in, but it was done so late that they had to send a Mechanic to come pick me up. I applaud the mechanics on getting to the job done, so thank you! But, parts could've been ordered the week before when they knew what needed to be repaired ;an advisement that this could take longer than one day and thus other trans logistics could've been set up AND a friendly apologetic attitude could have gone a long way. Instead, I am loathed to bring my truck back to you due to this experience. I've been bringing my truck there for 5 years and to see how a repeat customer is treated has me looking for another place to do maintenance and buy my next GMC. More
