Horrendous dealership. Poor service and attitude start at the top and trickle down. The sales manager is horrible, nasty and completely out of touch with how to deal with customers. Having purchased three vehicles from Anchor Subaru in the past, and being happy with those purchases, I decided to look into another Subaru at Anchor. I purchased a used Forrester from them, and within two past, and being happy with those purchases, I decided to look into another Subaru at Anchor. I purchased a used Forrester from them, and within two weeks, the car broke down on the New Jersey Turnpike! After repairs at a Subaru dealer in PA, I was informed that this vehicle had so many problems with it, that it should never have been sold in the condition that it was. The car was for my daughter, and at least three mechanics told her to sell it, and be done with it. It was sold at a loss, and was replaced with a Toyota. Not much was done by Anchor to solve the problems that this vehicle had, (and there were numerous problems). I feel that they just wanted to get rid of this car, and were not very honest as to its' condition, etc. After this experience, I then took my Subaru to be looked at at another dealer in Massachusetts. They fixed it in a timely manner, and I was very happy with the experience there. My husband also took his car there, and was equally happy. I now bring our Subarus to this dealership only. Beware of purchasing any vehicles in R.I., as they don't have the "lemon laws" that MA has. I will never go back to Anchor, and I make sure to tell anyone interested in a Subaru to avoid Anchor at all costs. They have lost an excellent customer forever. More
Brought my forester in for service after finding out my axle was broken they gave me a rental car for free! After helping me throught every step of the process and keeping me informed of where we were at axle was broken they gave me a rental car for free! I love this dealership and send all my friends and family there!!!! More
I traveled a decent distance to get to anchor. The reason I dis was the selection they had on the website. After walking in I was greeted by my salesman Josh. I had a bad experience at another place where the salesman were borderline running to my car before I managed to put it in park! Anyway to make a long story short the staff and the deal it self was great and I even walked out paying a lil less than I expected! Love my new 2011 forester! More

I Purchased a 3rd party warranty with used S10 truck from this dealer. When the truck broke down (under warranty), this dealer charged for diagnostics and refused to repair the truck under the warranty. I ha this dealer. These guys were excellent to deal with. The final price we paid was much lower than what we were quoted at the other RI dealers, and we felt like we were treated with courtesy and respect. Just moved to area, needed a place to service my 2009 Subaru Legacy, this was a great dealership. Nice customer service!! Easy to get to. I went to Anchor specifically for a car I had seen online. Despite having checked with them twice, when I showed up the car had "just been sold". This should have been a big warning to me. My sales person that I worked with was perfectly nice. He did give me a few good pointers about checking out cars. However, I got the feeling he'd say anything to make the sale. My biggest concern and why I'm writing this post is that I test drove a car that had a clean carfax and I was told had not been in any accidents. I checked in the glove compartment and found a Hertz accident report. I brought it to my salesperson's attention. He gave it to the manager who told me it was nothing and threw it out. Buyer beware! I would not trust these cars. Finally, the pricing was really not that competitive. I found better deals elsewhere. More
Incompetent, poor service. Service personnel trying to sell unnecessary services. Work not completed when promissed. Wrong and conflicitng information provided by different people. Overall, I must say I will not buy antoher Subaru--they are highly overrated--I had two Foresters and both had many major problems within 2-4 years of ownership. More
