After 12 years of delightful driving of a 2004 Subaru Forester XT with the five speed manual transmission over 100,000 trouble free miles the time has After 12 years of delightful driving of a 2004 Subaru Forester XT with the five speed manual transmission over 100,000 trouble free miles the time has come to replace it with the 2016 Subaru Forester 2.5i with the Lineartronic CVT "automatic" transmission. Have been using it only about one week but it is a wonderfully quiet, smooth, peppy, fun vehicle to drive. Although it is "only" the entry level, Base Model, it comes most fully equipped with most everything one could desire as standard equipment. Initial contact and negotiations were over the internet with Donna Benoit, in person transactions with Mr. Greg Washington, both most gentle and personable. No high pressure sales tactics, no "bait and switch' or attempts to "up sell" to more pricey versions. Very fair pricing. A wonderful, pleasant buying experience of a most modern, safe and economical to purchase and inexpensive to operate family vehicle. My wife and grandchildren love it too! Thank you Anchor Subaru! My third Subaru from Anchor This is my third Subaru, all of them purchased from Anchor Subaru in N Smithfield, RI. My initial contact this time was with Donna Benoit via email. This is my third Subaru, all of them purchased from Anchor Subaru in N Smithfield, RI. My initial contact this time was with Donna Benoit via email. I was looking for a 2016 Legacy 2.5i Premium, with the Eyesight package. Anchor did not have that combination on the lot, and couldn’t locate it at any nearby dealership. She and Brian did however find one in transit, and about to arrive at the Port of Providence. They managed to secure the model, color and package that I’d specified. Great ! When I arrived at the dealership to arrange for the purchase, I met with Jorge Navarro, the gentleman I had bought my last Subaru from. We reminisced a little and Jorge helped me with my trade-in toward my new Legacy. When it arrived on site, Jorge spent the time to get the details right and made sure I understood all the safety components and tech features of my new Legacy. All in all a very good experience. To the Anchor staff that I dealt with, Donna, Brian, Carl Parillo, who I met while signing all the required paperwork, and Jorge, my primary contact, who made the whole experience comfortable and stress free.
