Extremely Helpful - Thank You! I am from Montreal, Canada and I was visiting Rhode Island the first weekend of November. This was a 400 mile trip for me and my family. About half w I am from Montreal, Canada and I was visiting Rhode Island the first weekend of November. This was a 400 mile trip for me and my family. About half way through, we pulled over to a rest area and realized that the front passenger side floor was flooded with water, however we decided to go on to our destination in Providence RI. On the morning of Saturday the 7th of November i found the Anchor Subaru dealership online and brought in my car. The service department was busy, nonetheless I explained my situation and they decided to have a look at my vehicle. Within the hour they had finished with my car (Subaru Outback 2012 ) and told me the AC drain was clogged up and they drained it for me. Me and my spouse were very warmly greeted and the job was done courtesy of ANCHOR SUBARU. I am extremely grateful to all the staff at Anchor Subaru for their service and kindness for someone far away from home. I would like to thank ANCHOR SUBARU and its staff for the assistance they provided me with and underline the value they provided through their good customer service and care. THANK YOU! I had never purchased a brand new car before and he made the process very quick and easy! He was easy to talk to and was very straight forward about everything. I paid a fair price and the finance department made it clear and simple to understand my loan and finance options. Char was very easy to get in contact with when I had questions and answered me very quickly. He also kept me updated on the status of everything. I would DEFINITELY recommend this dealership and I would definitely purchase from them again! More

Following an accident in The team member I connected with - Mike Archer - did an excellent job helping me through the selection and buying process. Following an accident in a few weeks prior, I had a very tight window to not only find a car, but to make sure that I was comfortable with a new model and the services that Anchor you provided. Mike was able to explain all of the benefits of a Subaru (my 1st) without pushing for a sale or reaching beyond the scope of what I was looking for. It is increasingly rare to encounter a straight shot like this anymore, in any space. I have to travel a bit to meetings and between locations for my job, so timing was key. Thanks to Mike, I was able to find a great used Legacy and most importantly - wrap up the sales process quickly. I've loved the car since taking it off the lot. Overall the process could not have been better. Highly recommend to those who, like me, were interested in learning what Subaru is about and want a stress-free sales process to ask for Mike Archer at Anchor's North Smithfield site. More

Now, hear me out - I may sound like a luxury-car loyalist, but I'm not - when you walk away with no injuries after being rear-ended on the highway by a tractor-trailer, you develop a strong allegiance to the car that kept you safe. I replaced my old Volvo with another old Volvo and have been quite content, for the most part. In the last year, though, I found myself sinking more money into repairs and maintenance than I'd like. To be fair, it's approaching 200,000k, but now that I'm a few years out of college and beginning to think about settling down, starting a family, being a responsible adult... I started looking at new cars - and, by new cars, I mean new Volvos. Of course, Volvo doesn't make cars like they used to; the newer models look nothing like my beloved old S70 nor my dream car, the 850 T-5R, and I felt like by buying new, I'd be paying an enormous premium for a car that wasn't what I really wanted (I briefly considered buying another $3000 used S70, but my fiancé talked me out of it.) And so I kept driving my old Volvo, intent on driving it all the way to 200k and thinking maybe then I'd revisit my options. Then my alternator went, taking the battery along with it, and I didn't have a car for a week. My fiancé suggested that we check out Subarus. I had liked the Forester before I bought my first Volvo and he thought maybe I should reconsider it. We went to Anchor just to take a look around and, well, we ended up putting a deposit down that day. We worked with Shiloh, who gave us a great car-buying experience right from the get-go by providing us a little more freedom than we expected. (If you want two twenty-somethings to buy a car from you, give them just a bit of your trust and let them test-drive it without supervision.) We took the Crosstrek and the Forester out for a spin. I didn't like the Crosstrek, which didn't feel as sturdy nor as big as the boxy Volvo that I'm used to. The Forester, on the other hand, was a perfect fit. It is literally the same dimensions as my Volvo in length and width, which made me feel comfortable instantly. The Forester is taller, and not a sedan, but those are welcome differences as they allow for increased cargo space. Another difference I appreciated? Both Subaru and Volvo produce exceptionally safe vehicles, but while Subaru tries to direct your attention to how safe its cars are, at a Volvo dealership, you'll see and hear more about the luxury features than you do about the safety features. I'm sure their target demographics are different, and they market themselves accordingly, but the emphasis on safety absolutely swayed me toward Subaru. And maybe it was a bit impulsive, but we decided we were going to buy a car that day. We originally thought we would buy a lightly-used car (maybe 2014 model year) to save a few thousand, but opted for a new car after learning about Anchor's exclusive lifetime power train warranty. As someone who drives a lot (20-25k/year), this was a huge incentive to buy new. I plan on driving this car until it dies, so I felt it was worth it to shell out the extra few thousand upfront to save on repairs down the road. Shiloh was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and was never pushy. He did not come across as a salesman, but more like a friend who happens to have a new car and can't stop talking about it. He gave us plenty of opportunities to discuss and decide without him being present, which I really appreciated, as it took a lot of the pressure off. Anchor didn't have any on the lot with all of the features I was looking for, so we didn't get to drive one home that day, but they were able to find one that met all of my needs and, within a week, it was in our driveway. Having had my new Forester for about a month, I can honestly say that I am really impressed with it. The sunroof is massive, the back-up camera is an awesome feature, and the dashboard computer gives me more information than I could ever need or want to know (but, being someone who loves statistics, I really appreciate it.) Coming from a Volvo, I knew I had to have heated seats (not something I could ever give up, living in New England) and I have to admit, the Forester's are incredible - I can't even imagine how much I'll appreciate them come February. Remote start is also a plus, and Shiloh hooked us up with and after-market one that was a lot cheaper. I'm not a huge fan of the touch-screen radio, but I'm getting used to it. My only complaint is a minor one: my gas tank isn't as big now, so I have to fill up more often (not looking forward to this, with winter coming), but I am otherwise getting the exact same MPG as before. I also have a love/hate relationship with the Sirius radio trial period... I never knew what I was missing! Not looking forward to the day when I have to decide if I want to keep it or not... but I'll probably keep it. All in all, I had a great experience. Most days, I get into my new car and I still can't believe that I just pulled the trigger and bought it, but I am so glad that I did. Having previously driven used cars exclusively, it feels so luxurious and clean, and it is so refreshing to not worry about something failing or my check engine light coming on. I am so pleased and would recommend not only Subaru vehicles, but the Anchor dealership and Shiloh in particular, to anyone shopping for a new car. More
