Fantastic dealership! I really HATE shopping for a new car...unending phone calls, horrible sales tactics, bait and switch...you know the drill. I walked into Anchor Subaru I really HATE shopping for a new car...unending phone calls, horrible sales tactics, bait and switch...you know the drill. I walked into Anchor Subaru simply to get a price on a new "fully UNloaded" Forester, and I was ready to endure yet another unpleasant experience. Instead of the usual runaround and blatant attempts at overselling me something I didn't want, my assigned salesman, Shar Chauvin, instead talked with me like an ordinary human being discussing cars man to man. He did not push me (or rather *try* to push me) into something that I was not interested in, but instead listened to me and gave me a price on the car I wanted to buy...what?!?! To make a long story short, we hit it off extremely well, and even though he had to locate a car from another dealer, it was just a matter of a few days and my car was there waiting for me...GREAT price, unbeatable service, and it came with a whole bunch of little extras at no extra charge, something I never expected. My car needed to have a rear bumper cover installed (one of the few little things I actually wanted), so Shar arranged to have it installed on the same day I stopped in to pick up my registration. The service manager (sorry...I don't remember his name) got the job done in about 10 minutes while I waited. EVERYONE that I met or spoke with while I was there was top notch, friendly, and made me feel right at home, the polar opposite of just about any other dealership I have dealt with. It truly feels like you are joining and becoming part of their family, like some long lost cousin who just met them after years of being apart. If I like this Forester as much as I do on initial impressions, I will not only be a Subaru owner for years to come, but rather an ANCHOR Subaru customer. After dealing with so many other dealerships over the years (I am 61), this was the most pleasant place I have ever bought from. I am not knocking all of the other dealers, as some of them were much better than others; I am praising Anchor for standing out and above in a very crowded field. More

Above and Beyond After my husband suffered a stroke, we decided we only needed 1 car. We had 2 Subarus in great shape and wanted to trade these in for a 2015 Forester. Gladimir sold us our 2 previous cars, and we contacted him re: this transaction. We described the car we wanted (model, color and features) and scheduled an appointment for Saturday. When we arrived, the car we described was parked in front ready for a test drive. Since we had 2 cars to trade and 1 driver, Gladimir drove us to our home so we could bring in the 2nd car. Long story short, the deal was closed that very day - I was amazed. Gladimir has always been helpful and honest - a delight to work with. More

Highly Disappointed in Anchor We bought my wife's car at Anchor several years ago and had an excellent experience with Jorge Navarro. He is phenomenal. When we went back to look for a car for me, Jorge was unavailable and we worked with someone else. The test drive was great and when it came time to discuss trade in price and the price of the vehicle I was looking at, our experience changed completely. I was given a laughable offer for my trade in vehicle (half of what I was offered at Balise Subaru) and then we had a conversation with the sales manager about me putting my nicer set of wheels on the vehicle before I traded it in. I was told the nice wheels would add less than $200 to the trade in value during this conversation and that ended our negotiation for the day. Later, when Anchor reached out to me and attempted to restart negotiations, I was sent an angry and accusatory e-mail stating that I was being unreasonable and doing nothing to increase my car's trade in value. Apparently they forgot about the several minute conversation my wife and I had with the salesman and the sales manager about putting the nicer rims on. It may be an isolated experience and maybe it would have been better if I worked with Jorge again, but I will not be going back to Anchor and I would highly recommend Balise Subaru instead. They offered the same car new, with more features, for $2500 less than Anchor and gave me a much better offer for my trade in vehicle. If you can't work with Jorge go somewhere else, but check out Balise first anyways because you'll probably get a better deal there than at Anchor. I sure did. More

We were introduced to Mike Hersey who sold our daughter her new car, and explained that we could not find an Outback in NJ so he showed us around the dealership, gave us a test drive in anew Outback and we bought it. Every step of the process was efficient and well handled. All of the people involved were top notch. A word of advice to young car buyers - people respond to your attitude and adjust accordingly. You're buying a car from someone just like you - be pleasant, be forgiving, be patient and save your complaints. These seem like good folks to work with. More

There wasn't any disappointment or regrets during the whole sale process besides the fact I couldn't drive standard when I bought the car.
