Disappointing experience I purchased a 2003 Dodge Ram here on 9/5/2019. I was looking for a replacement truck to replace one that had issues. I chose to go to what I though I purchased a 2003 Dodge Ram here on 9/5/2019. I was looking for a replacement truck to replace one that had issues. I chose to go to what I thought was a reputable dealer to purchase a used truck to use around the house. Before going to the dealer I asked a few questions. One was ..is there any rust on the vehicle? I was told there was no rust on the body. Only the back bumper. I was also told it ran good. With that info I was interested. I will say the salesman was kind enough to come pick me up and take me to the dealership. Upon arriving I did a quick walk around of the truck. I trusted what the salesperson said in the email and didn't look at the truck under a microscope which I realize I should have. When I started the truck the check engine light came on. I immediately pointed that out and was told the truck was checked out and the light was on for no reason and no codes were being thrown. I should have known better. Again, my fault for being trusting. We went for a test drive which lasted all of 5 minutes. We left the dealership and just a couple miles down the road the salesperson suggested we go ahead and turn around and head back. That was the quickest test drive ever. The truck didn't even have time to warm up. It felt kind of rushed. Since I didn't really drive it long I was unaware of the issues I would soon discover. Unfortunately I purchased this vehicle. On the long drive home in traffic I quickly discovered some issues.. it was leaking oil and the burning oil smell was strong in the cab. Also it is obvious the suspension is shot as it shakes over bumps. And to add insult to injury I noticed the passenger side door was rusted out on top...even though I was told no rust on the body. The purpose of buying this was to do work around the house and drive to work occasionally. Now I am stuck with a truck I don't trust sitting in the driveway. I realize the risk of buying an "as is" vehicle and that's on me for trusting what I thought was a reputable organization. The vehicle I bought clearly was not checked out well by the dealer and should have been an auction vehicle. There is no way this should have been on the retail lot of a reputable dealer. The purpose of this review is to be up front and honest so others don't suffer the same fate as me. Buyer beware!!!! More
Great experience Visited several Jeep dealers to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee limited X . Hands down champion was the dealer for us. If I did get help it wasn’t friendly . NOT A CHAMPION ,these boys were on top of it !! Why to go , keep up the good work. I’m a sales manger myself for a powersports Dealership. My wife asked me what dealer do we go to and who do we talk to. I responded you will know when it’s right , I told her to look for friendliness, willing to help , willing to teach you about the new jeeps . ONLY ONE DEALER IN NORTH INDIANAPOLIS DID THIS ! Champion hit all the boxes !! Keith is a no bull ,friendly, hands down awesome. Gene , was my wife’s favorite this was our first Lease . Very Poor Sales Experience On August 15 I came it looking for a first car for my 19 year old son, and discovered a used car that I was interested in purchasing. After doing a te On August 15 I came it looking for a first car for my 19 year old son, and discovered a used car that I was interested in purchasing. After doing a test drive I determined that we would make a cash offer on the 2008 Toyota RAV4. An offer was made and a purchase contract was signed at approximately 2pm. I informed my wife that she needed to come and see the car for herself. We made arrangements to come back together that evening with the intent of making a purchase. At approximately 6 pm we returned to the dealership to find out Champion had sold the car to another buyer. I say all of this because I had offered to put a deposit on the car before I left. The Sales Manager (Brian Webb) told me he would have the keys so that no one would be able to sell it before I returned. I guess a red flag should have gone up when the Sales Manager would not take my money as a deposit. The net/net is Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge probably sold the car for a few hundred dollars more than my signed offer, and made a little more with financing. When is a signed contract not honored? My experience with Champion was the stereotypical "seedy" used car dealership experience that most consumers dread when they walk onto the grounds. In the future I will never return to Champion for anything. I hope the owner (Fernando Falcon) reads this review and address the behavior of his sales team because what is right is right, and what is wrong is wrong. More
