I only have one word for the code of ethics around Atlanta Best Used Cars, LLC - Deceitful!! For those of you like me who believe in the honor system, RUN!! This is NOT the dealership for you! This experience has shown me what to look out for when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. The only paperwork that I received on the date of my deposit was an unsigned copy of the purchase receipt, which was erroneous. Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT!!!!!!
I advised my sales representative, Julio, that I did not want to move forward with the purchase on the same day of the deposit. I contacted him the following morning and was advised that he would call me back after speaking with his manager, Bill. After not hearing back from Julio all day, I tried reaching out to him on his cell phone and was unsuccessful. Since it was after 5pm at this point, I called the dealership and was told that he was available, yet was placed on hold for 30+ minutes. Once Julio answered, he advised that he would relay the message regarding the refund of my deposit to his manager, who will give me a call back, whenever he is available. The conversation with him let me know that he had not spoken to Bill until I called back. The following day, I went back to the dealership in hopes of a simple resolution, yet Bill refused to issue a refund. When I explained to him the information that was provided, or lack thereof, and the customer service treatment after deciding to not get the vehicle, he said to me, "You are no longer a customer," as if that was excusable for the treatment. Once I explained to him that I am still the same potential buyer I was when I first came to the dealership, he changed his tone and stated that he would have a meeting with his staff around the customer service. I seriously doubt it happened. After realizing that our discussion was not going in a positive direction, I requested to get a copy of all of the signed documents that were not previously provided and left.
For anyone who reads this, I hope that my personal testimony helps when dealing with this particular car dealership along with others out there like it. I left very disappointed due to the unethical and deceitful tactics.
