Simple oil change Came in for a simple oil change, didn't take too long. Thank you so much EUGENE! There’s A LOT to say here so bare with me. By the time I went car shopping, I had a good idea of the car that I wanted. I brought my father along with There’s A LOT to say here so bare with me. By the time I went car shopping, I had a good idea of the car that I wanted. I brought my father along with me because he worked in the car business for a long time. My father did not want our salesperson to know he worked in the car business, to make sure he was trust worthy. And Eugene is DEFINITELY trustworthy. When I pulled up to the dealership Eugene was standing outside waiting for someone to pull up. This was great because as I went to other dealerships, I realized that I’d walk in and then didn’t really know who to approach. The three of us walked back to his desk where he told me exactly what I could expect from this process because it was clear it was my first time. After we had a small discussion, he asked me what cars I was interested in and grabbed the keys for them. As we walked up and down the lot, he made it clear that he had absolutely no problem running back into the building to get keys for cars that I wanted to try on a whim. While looking at cars, he took note of my non negotiables and made informed suggestions from there. Two big things is I really wanted CarPlay and a sunroof so he made sure that those features were in any car that I brought up. He also HEAVILY suggested that I test drive any car that I considered buying even after test driving that one and I am so glad he did. The test drive with him was not awkward, we had more conversations about the car as I drive it around the corner and up Sunrise HWY. Then, I wanted to go look at other cars as this was my first stop. I told him I was going to look at Acura and he said nothing to contest my decision. All he asked was that if I returned, I called and let him know so that he’d be waiting on me and I wouldn’t have to wait on him. I went to the other dealership and noticed the huge difference. I was not greeted as soon as I walked in. I was not explained the process. That car salesman seemed annoyed when I asked him to see a different car. AND when I mentioned I was looking at a Honda, he seemed incredibly disgusted. Lastly, when I refused their selection, he brought the finance manager to speak to me. Even with my father there I felt incredibly pressured. There’s a possibility that I would’ve chosen an Acura if I had my Honda experience there and my Acura experience at Honda. I returned to Honda and Eugene explained everything so simply. I was upset at the pricing, but that wasn’t his fault. What is very important to know about this dealership is that their online prices exclude a $2000 down payment, and are mostly applicable if you finance with them. Eugene took my grief and did the best he could with the price. I even had to leave and return and there was still no hard feelings. The next part of the story is long and personal but I faced a major hiccup in my car buying process that made me feel like I could no longer afford the car after the dealership held it for me way longer than they should’ve. I explained my dilemma and Eugene said flat out “Here are your options...” and then listed them for me to choose what I’d do next. I ended up setting the appointment with him later that day to pick up the car. I got there early and he rushed to meet me so that I wouldn’t wait too long. The finance manager came out first with new paperwork and behold! There were NO surprises in them. Everything Eugene said would work out perfectly did. I was able to drive off the lot the same day I told him I couldn’t make the purchase. Eugene truly made the experience for me and I am incredibly grateful. His friendliness, eagerness to help and level of communication makes him a stellar car salesman. I am extremely appreciative of him getting me into the car that I wanted. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! More
