Alan was extremely competent in handling my requirements. I went to two other dealerships under the same ownership and was very unhappy. Alan and the West Islip store was the only one able to get me my car q I went to two other dealerships under the same ownership and was very unhappy. Alan and the West Islip store was the only one able to get me my car quickly. The only difficulty came when picking up the vehicle. I was told the problem centered around motor vehicle. My husband's car (not a Hyundia model) was used to go to and from Ronkonkoma Railroad and run errands on the weekends and it died 2 weeks ago leaving us to share 1 car. After 2 weeks of sharing a car we realized that a second one was needed. On Tuesday we received a notice from Hyundai of a private sale and decided to look into it. Sue Defalco suggested we lease in order to stay within our budget and helped us to understand the difference between leasing and purchasing. After listening to what we wanted and understanding our limitations regarding price Sue helped us to drive away in a beautiful new Accent. This is our 4th Hyundai purchase and our second at Atlantic Hyundai. When we return it will definitly be at Atlantic Hyundai as we feel the customer service and attention to detail is outstanding there. Thank you. More

My experience at Atlantic Hyundai was very positive. My initial contact was via the Internet with Michael Manuzzi. He understood what I was interested in purchasing and my concerns. I received prompt responses with the requested information by e mail and telephone. He kept our communication link active and timely. In one instance, I called to speak to him and he was off. A colleague---Mike deBari--- handled the call professionally and courteously, even though, I was “not” his customer. Upon my remarking that I appreciated this, he responded that they were colleagues and work as a team to support one another. Amazing. There was no curt response or direction to call back when Mr. Manuzzi was present. When I arrived at the dealership, Mr., Manuzzi transferred me to Barry Russin, a sales advisor. The already gathered information was passed along in a concise manner and, therefore, unnecessary to start from the beginning. Immediately, we could move forward. He was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. While the car I came to see---which was available earlier in the day---was no longer available, he sought and offered alternatives that might closely match my needs. In time, we selected another vehicle and began to negotiate. The process continued fairly and without stress until we were informed that this car has just be sold to another customer. You can well imagine my frustration and annoyance, two potential purchases gone and several hours of time wasted. At this point, Mr. Russin assured me that he kept up on car availability, that new stock was delivered daily, and that he would contact me as soon as a car matching my needs was available. I assumed this was “sales talk” and never expected much to come of it. Surprise! First thing the next morning, Mr. Russin called to inform me that he located a car that matched my criteria and that it would be available later in the day. During our several conversations that morning, we confirmed that the car was indeed available, that it would be accessible that afternoon, and, most importantly, it would be “reserved” for me until I either purchased it or released it. No repeat car disappearance! I viewed and drove the car. All was satisfactory and since we had previously agreed to a price---stress-free, I purchased it. Mr. Russin shepherded me through the buying process, even offering some pizza as we spent over five hours at the dealership. He attempted to make the process as easy and as quick as possible. He tried to facilitate the paperwork-purchase processing, performed an excellent job in prepping the car, and did not rush to explain features of the car, despite, it being late Saturday evening. When I drove home with the 2011 Sonata Hybrid, there were still some unanswered questions related to the car. Since it was so late on a Saturday evening, answers could not be ascertained until Monday morning. Mr. Russin assured me that he would call me first thing on Monday morning. He did! I needed to return to Atlantic Hyundai several days later. Mr. Russin greeted me cordially. He was not bothered by my return. Again, he was friendly and professional and helpful. He assured me that our relationship did not end with the sale of the car. Should I have any future/additional concerns or questions, he would be available to assist. Over the next week or so, were communicated with each other. Each time we spoke, he reiterated that our relationship was not over. I could and should always contact him whenever I have any questions/concerns/problem. Barry Russin does not fit the standard image of a sleazy, overbearing, pushy car salesman, just the opposite! If I purchase another Hyundai, I would definitely contact Mr. Russin. While the Atlantic Hyundai staff---support, sales, and management were all professional and friendly, I do have some thoughts pertaining to the dealership and its functioning. The time spent waiting for the car to be delivered from a storage yard was too long. Why would it take more than 1 1/2/ hours to transport a car about 5 miles? Also, the time spent waiting for paperwork processing was several hours. This seems too long since my part in the process had already been completed. A working water fountain and available cups is desirable. A larger waiting/sitting area is needed. (The offer of pizza was a nice positive touch.) A good management team would recognize the potential for a very busy Saturday and adjust staff and accommodations accordingly. Purchased July 30, 2011 Submitted August 18, 2011 More
