I put a $1,000 deposit down on an incoming Hyundai Palisade in September 2023 at MSRP. When the car arrived 6 weeks later, Atlantic Hyundai sold it to another customer, presumably for a better price. The only person I could ever get on the phone after I made my deposit was the receptionist who never connected me to a live person; only took a message which was rarely, if ever, returned. It took 6 weeks to get my deposit refunded, and then only after I got my credit card company involved. (I had to get special permission from “the manager” to have the deposit be refundable in the first place, which I had them write on the purchase agreement – good thing!) All-in-all, a miserable purchase experience. More
