Deplorable! I wasn't going to leave a review, but after advising quite a few sales reps how unhappy we were and not receiving an ounce of response or empathy, I c I wasn't going to leave a review, but after advising quite a few sales reps how unhappy we were and not receiving an ounce of response or empathy, I changed my mind. We spent 7 hours in the dealership on a Sunday (our one day off), getting a car. After COUNTLESS pieces of misinformation, we traded in our vehicle, and left with theirs. We left them with a small amount of money, which was "in good faith," according to them. We returned the next day, to add my husband to the lease (the ONLY reason, and we were told it was no problem). When we got there, not only was it "impossible to add him," but we were then told they never take the amount we gave them as a "good faith estimate," and had to explain that they wanted another $5500k...which we had "agreed to," according to the paperwork. (Partly true fact- according to the conversations with the sales person, we were only bringing them back another $2500k, by the end of the week. Since it was a Sunday and the last day of the month, all paperwork was approved quickly, flown past us, and signed in confusion. Our fault, and lesson learned!) The sales person knew we had never leased a vehicle before, and failed to tell us that the extra $2500k they wanted, was typical in a lease situation. The sales manager was nice enough to explain what should have been explained the previous day...after all, we were there 7 hours! Unfortunately, had they explained it all, we wouldn't have leased the car. Never mind that our return visit to the dealership took ANOTHER 3 hours! We admittedly left them with less than they wanted as a downpayment, and I still don't understand the lease agreement they left us with. I have no idea what my trade in was, nor how a $26k car is now a $40k lease. Let's hope the home office can answer questions, because I refuse to call the dealer ever again! Here's an email I sent after I rec'd a flat tire, and had no assistance from the dealership (less than a week after we own the car and no one seems to care, now that the deal is made!): "Good morning, Dave-Thank you for the email and unfortunately, the review we would leave about our experience, would not be a pleasant one. There were countless pieces of misinformation and confusion by both the salesman and the finance department (Chris, the sale manager was able to alleviate most of the confusion, but only after we returned to the dealership on a fluke the next day, after we had already walked off with the car). Considering I left a message yesterday when I had my first problem with the car, I can honestly say I will not be recommending the dealership to anyone. I will forego any feedback posting at this time, however. I own a small business, and understand how this affects your business. But rest assured I still have COUNTLESS questions about the lease I have, and refuse to sit in the dealership or speak to anyone there about it, ever again. Your dealership has managed to tack a $40k lease under my name, and I have no idea how this happened. I'm hoping there's someone at Hyundia headquarters who can assist me, and that they don't (one again) send me to the dealership for assistance I will not receive. Let's hope the $1200 maintenance package I see on my lease agreement, isn't the "4 years of oil changes" (and something else I can't remember), that they "gave us" for the trouble and confusion." Could have slept over it took so long. It took over 5 hours to complete the deal. Had to come back because my insurance broker wasn't open on Saturday. 4th Hyundai (3rd Elantra) in a row - gets easier every time! I don't lease because I put too many miles on back and forth to work. I always trade in my cars after three years, which was up in June, but I missed I don't lease because I put too many miles on back and forth to work. I always trade in my cars after three years, which was up in June, but I missed that because I've been in the middle of moving all summer and fall. Finally last Sunday I decided to just stop in and at least start the process. Much to my surprise, three and a half hours later I was driving home in my new car. My salesman really keyed in on my wants and needs and made the whole process so painless and easy - and I got exactly the deal I wanted! Kudos to Dan Evans and his support staff at Atlantic Hyundai! If you're like me and want to buy from a dealer/salesperson that respects your time, removes the price-negotiating anxiety, and makes the buying process very, very easy, definitely go to Atlantic Hyundai.
