Misleading Pricing & Dishonest Practices Beware if you’re planning to pay cash at Atlantic Kia — their advertised prices don’t apply unless you finance through them. I was originally texting with Eddi you’re planning to pay cash at Atlantic Kia — their advertised prices don’t apply unless you finance through them. I was originally texting with Eddie, who told me there would be a $2,000 “fee” because, and I quote, “that’s what the bank charges them for taking cash.” Total nonsense. When I pushed back and pointed out that this was really about the dealership losing out on the financing kickback (yes, dealers make money when you finance through them), he eventually admitted it was to make up for the profit they wouldn’t get from me financing. That’s deceptive and shady. So just know this: if you’re paying cash, expect to pay $2,000 more than any price they post online. It’s a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Absolutely not how a reputable dealership should do business. 👎 More
