I stopped in under pretense that they would buy my car and lease me another for less than I was currently paying. Ms. Dunn led me to believe that they were going to buy my existing car the whole 3 hours I and lease me another for less than I was currently paying. Ms. Dunn led me to believe that they were going to buy my existing car the whole 3 hours I sat there from one office to another office to another office. When I finally realized (after 3 tortoreous hours) that they were going to take the car but NOT buy it, I told them they could not as I had to have it inspected before I could turn it in. I had told Ms. Dunn that from the beginning but she insisted they were taking the car. Yeah, they were taking it, not buying it as originally mentioned and she knew that, within minutes, after I first walked in the door. All she kept repeating after we sat for hours was, "They're working on it, they're working on it." Working on what? The manager who tried to be congeniel in the beginning became uncooperative and after sitting and waiting some more, we asked for all the paper work back they had done and walked out with a very bitter taste in our mouth. We entered the building at approx. 11:15 and left at 2:30. Since this bad experience, we have heard of others with this dealership and I will never recommend them. We were able to get our deal done with Huntington Toyota and were very satisfied. More

We needed a car for our son. We had a budget of 10K. We both agreed it sounded like a scam but we could not find any fine print about stipulations on the deal. We went to the dealer and took a test drive. After the test drive they explained that we had to enter into a lease deal with them which we did not want to do. We asked what the cash price was and they said about 15K. We said that was way over our budget and said we were leaving. Lianne said we should make an offer and she said they would see what she could do I told her our offer was 10K. She then showed us two used cars she said we could have for 10K. The manager also came over and explained that they could not honor the price in the paper unless we did the lease but that the 2 used cars were only one year old with low milage and the would sell them for 10K to us. We left and looked at some more cars elsewhere and then decided to go for her offer. We called Lianne back and she said we should bring in our sons present car so they could appraise it for the trade in. He cleaned out the car, we went to the bank to transfer money and then went back to Toyoda while we wer doing the paper work my wife noticed the price on the paper work waas wrong. Lianne after having said "You have my word 10K" was now saying "Well we were somewhere around 11K werent we?" she the brought out the used car manager who explained to us that it was rediculous for us to think we could get a 1 year old car for 10K. It was a waste of a whole day and I would never do buisness of any kind with them ever again. More

On Sunday June 27th, 2020 there was in ad in Long Island Newsday for a 2011 Toyota Rav 4. The ad was placed by Atlantic Toyota 200 Sunrise Highway in Amityville, NY. Payment excludes tax, title, & MV Fees. 12,000 allowable miles per year with .15 excess mile charge. I visited the showroom and spoke to a salesman named Zoltan Takash. I showed him the ad and he confirmed the facts. I explained that I had leased many cars and was interested in 36 equal payments zero down and zero due at the end of the lease. No money up front with the exception of the fee to transfer the plates from my present car to the new Rav 4. He agreed and wrote this down on the back of his card. On Wednesday June 30th I visited the dealership to consummate the deal. Mr. Takash told me it must be for a car in stock and showed me several light colored Rav 4s. I told him that my wife was only interested in a dark color and that we were flexible enough to consider any dark color even though we did have a preference. He searched the computer and confirmed that there were none in stock. I left and thanked him for his time. Several minutes later he called me on my cell phone and told me that he had located a black Rav 4. Not my first color choice, but I turned around and went back to the dealer. As soon as I sat down to seal the deal the sales manager (Anthony C.) came over and said I needed to put $1500 down plus sales tax. I was shocked. I was willing to pay the sales tax up front (even though the salesman said that I could roll it into the payment and change my monthly expense from the advertised $189 per month to $205 per month), first month’s payment and plates. I calculated my first payment to be $590 Sales Tax, $189 first month’s payment, and the $100 (approximate) cost to transfer plates. I would be left with 35 payments of $189 per month. I feel that this ad was deceptive and even worse, the salesman and manager were less than honest. I’ve heard many stories about car salesman but this is my first unpleasant experience. I also own a 2007 Highlander which I purchased at Millennium Toyota in Hempstead NY and had a very pleasant sales experience. I will shop for a Honda. More

I was looking on line for quotes and it sent my email to all toyotarte dealers in the area- BEWARE OF THIS SITUATION, when lexis called again I said i did not contact them she started yelling at me- I asked for her supervisor SHE HUNG UP HOW PROFESSIONAL!!1 ended up with a new Sienna from HUntington Toyota they rocked!! After searching several other dealerships for a V6 Access Cab Tacoma with manual transmission, I FINALLY found one at Atlantic Toyota. I called to make an appointment to test drive one, and showed up at the agreed time the next day ready to roll. That's when the problems began. The appointment was at noon. I arrived at 11:55 and was told by the secretary that the salesman I was scheduled to see was with another customer and would be with me shortly. Twenty minutes later an out of breath salesman ran up to me and asked if I was ready to roll. I was ready to roll on out of there at that point, but I had already driven 40 minutes to get there so I kept my cool and we head out onto the lot. The truck I scheduled to test drive was the V6 Tacoma. The salesman, Will, leads me out to a 4cyl Tacoma and tells me to jump in. I explained to him I was looking for the 6cyl and he told me "It's all the same, let me just grab the keys." Still keeping a level head and willing to humor our eager salesman I wait in the truck for Will to find the keys...for another TWENTY MINUTES. At this point my frustration level is rapidly rising. With the clock quickly closing in on 1pm, almost an hour after my "scheduled" test drive appointment, Will throws me the keys and tells me to fire up my future truck. Pulling out onto Sunrise Hwy, I get about five feet before the fuel gauge lights up...the truck is on Empty. Will tells me to pull back into the lot, he needs to get a fuel voucher. Fine. Will jumps out and says he'll be "right back." Great. I'll just wait here and check out the sound system. Nope. Radio doesn't work. The antenna is on the floor behind me. Awesome. Ten long, boring minutes later here comes Will. Now the fuel tank isn't the only thing running low, so's my patience. Shooting back onto Sunrise we make a quick right around the dealership and swing into the gas station. Will jumps out and runs in to pay. He's back out and in the truck in about 5 minutes with a container of muscle milk and a snack because he "missed breakfast." After chatting for several minutes about a truck I soon realized he knew little to nothing about, I asked if this was a full service gas station. A confused look from Will dawned into a realization that being so concerned with his breakfast, Will forgot to pump the gas. Now I feel bad for this truck, cuz I'm about to beat the snot out of it once I get it on the road. Gas pumped, muscle milk in hand, Will's FINALLY ready to go. We coast out onto the road and slow to a light. I barely make it into 3rd gear and Will directs me onto Route 110. NOW I'm getting excited. I'm gonna open this (4cyl) baby up a bit and see what she's got...or at least I thought I was. I make it a block and Will directs me back onto Sunrise. We're right back at the dealership. Will tells me to pull in. Wow. That wasn't a test drive! Why do I have to pull it in so fast? Why? I'll soon find out. Will jumps out and runs back into the dealership, yelling back at me that he has to "prepare the paperwork for my new truck." That's not why we had to hightail back. Will has another appointment. Now I'm second in line. I should have just left at this point, but I've already spent more than an hour and a half here and this is the ONLY dealership I've found that has a 6cyl MANUAL Tacoma in stock. So I decide to use my new found time wisely and I ask Will where the truck I was originally supposed to drive was on the lot. His vague response and pointing finger gesture towards the front of the lot as he makes his way towards his other newly arrived appointment. It's time to go exploring on my own to cool my temper. I find the truck. I come back inside. Paperwork is drawn up, then Will has to leave to attend his other client. Will comes back, options are discussed. Haggling ensues. Will has to leave to attend his other client. Will comes back, more options discussed. You get the picture...now it's 3pm. I've been here for more than THREE HOURS. I really, REALLY want this truck. All the paperwork is in front of me. But something doesn't add up. Something isn't right with the numbers. What are all these different fees? I couldn't get a direct answer. The little voice in the back of my head is telling me not to sign, to run over the numbers with a fine tooth comb and double check everything. Will is practically ready to take my hand that's holding the pen and sign my name for me. I felt pressured. I felt uncomfortable. I felt rushed. Most important, I felt like I wasn't in control and something was amiss. I explained that I couldn't sign because I needed to be sure, 100% sure, and I wasn't at that point. Will looked angry. Will took the contract and walked over to his manager, who clearly stated "what a waste of our f*xxxxx time." Excuse me? Who took the day off of work, drove forty minutes one way, then THREE HOURS at the dealership???? I stormed out of there with my blood on fire never to return. Rude. Impatient. Condescending. Arrogant. Greedy. These are only a few of the negative traits I can use to describe Atlantic Toyota. Don't EVER, EVER give Atlantic Toyota one cent of you're hard earned cash. They don't deserve it. Final outcome? I wound up at Huntington Toyota. They were able to get the exact V6 Tacoma FROM Atlantic shipped up to them. I test drove it, then drove it off the lot for more than $2,000 LESS than what Atlantic was asking. Thank you Huntington Toyota. More

To be fair. Duane G Greene was friendly, and I don't fault him. He seems like a nice guy, just trying to make a buck in this economy. He worked with me on a price. However, as soon as the agreed price hit his boss, they hit me with Warranty Charges and other BS that just didn't make sense. They were asking me to agree to a 23% APR. Regardless of whatever a person is... Normal loans over 13% was once considered illegal. I didn't really mind the APR because I have saved a lot of cash for the car. But the way they pushed the sale was condescending and rude. It was the 2500$ in Warranty fees? And the extra 750$ in preparation charges? I worked hard in my life to get to a position where I wouldn't have to buy cars from private dealers. Where I could purchase a car from a respectable dealership with Warrantys and Maintenance and all those things. I figured that'd be like. Woot! I'm not ghetto anymore! But then I realized that while with Private Dealers there is the possibility of being xxxxxx over. Atlantic Toyota will dick you over -Professionally- and a small part of me asks me to think that they take pride in that. Hel... If I were a salesperson, I'd take pride in it too. I learned a lot from my time with Atlantic Toyota. About economy, negotiations, and peer pressure. On top of that, I gave them a 500$ deposit on the car. I had to call them three times to get it back, run the loop with their unorganized phone system. And they didn't get it back to me for three weeks. When they SAID they processed it. They didn't. I had to call someone in Accounting to make sure of it. What'd they think I was going to do? Give up? Forget that I gave them 500$? Am I so padded with money I wouldn't notice half a grand missing from my accounts? xxxxxxx... More

I was quite disappointed in my experience. I specifically told her that we are making an appointment to come in and test drive at a certain car and that we were travelling from Brooklyn to come and view it. I got a call on Friday night AND Saturday morning confirming that I was coming in to look at the red Matrix on Saturday afternoon so I felt reassured that I would be test driving that car. When I arrived at the dealership on Saturday afternoon, not only did it seem that no one knew we were coming, but in fact the red Matrix we drove an hour to come see had already been sold the day before. It was a total waste of my time, not to mention money, because we had to rent a zipcar to come to the dealership because we don't currently have a car at all. More

I urge you to stay away from this dealership. They are extremely rude and judgmental about their customers. After the sales representative, Mike C., made this unnecessary comment, he quickly walked away from us. After we complained to the manager, we received an apology from the manager, but the Mike refused to speak with us. I felt discriminated because of my age. They obviously think that young adults cannot afford to buy their cars. Who knows what else they judge their customers on, but my suggestion for other people is: Save yourself the trouble and headaches, don't visit this place at all. More

We brought two cars in for service. We were hustled to buying expensive tires, but more important was the service pushed on Our Toyota Solara. We were told that our automatic transmission oil was dirty and we should have it changed. Thecar has only 20,000 miles on it. I said another time. I called my local service person and he said that doidi not seem right. He said bring it in and he would check it. He checked and said there was nothing wrong with the transmission oil. I am sure if there was he would have been glad to change it but it was not necessary. He said that most often the transmission oil will last the life of the car, but that it was not usually checked until at least 40,00 miles. Toyota service is very aggressive. I do not expect that the service department not make a profit, but they were way out of line. Rudy Cesarini More

(what a thoughtful guy that Tony is.) steer clear of this place and salesman Tony. i even overheard him telling other salesmen how he once haggled an artist from $250 to $50 for a carving that took days for the artist to do. nice work, Tony but here's a tip..."don't brag about how much of a cheap xxxxxxx you are within earshot of customers". STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. More
