I ordered a part for my vehicle and tried to get ahold of the dealer to get the status of the part and no one would answer even when a salesman tried twice. The dealership sold me a new audi. Prior to me purchasing, a recall for the airbag went into effect. They proceeded to still sell me the new audi with an open recall on September 9, 20 Prior to me purchasing, a recall for the airbag went into effect. They proceeded to still sell me the new audi with an open recall on September 9, 2022 which is federally illegal. The manager on the phone said the recall must have slipped through the cracks when I purchased the vehicle. I would not have bought the car if I was aware an airbag recall was active on it. I’ve reached out to audi corporate for a solution as this was an illegal sale. It put my safety at risk driving the vehicle and I would have purchased a different vehicle if I knew this vehicle had this recall active. Audi broke the law to get me to buy the car.
