I took my daughters Audi and yesterday and they told me I need to replace both tail lights $2600. I said that’s really weird that they both quit working on the exact same day. I took it to my local mechanic and he discovered there was a short in the wiring underneath the rear hatchback carpet. The bulbs were fine. Literally, he spent 15 minutes, testing the bulbs and knew that the bulbs weren’t the problem. $100 fix! More

I get I had to pay for labor and the oil change and the visual inspection. I take issue with not being asked if I wanted the cabin filter replaced for $55. I replaced the cabin filter a month ago myself for $15 off Amazon. Plus I noticed a "shop charge" for $49 for a wait created because of the 10% off discount. This may sound petty, but basically any 10% discount I was going to get was wiped out by a overpriced cabin air filter and a "shop charge". Advisor didn't seem to care or offer to make any adjustments. That simple $100 means I won't go back there again or buy a car from that dealer ever. More
