I was thankful for the loaner car which allowed me to get the service done without impacting my work schedule. My only concern was the quality of the detailing. The price was reasonable, and plenty was cleaned, but I must admit that I was a little disappointed in the details. Floor mats were left in the trunk so I had to install them myself before I left the dealer. The wheels still had some brake dust build up on them. Shiny surfaces inside the car had residue in several places. It feels like an Armor All type of product. A final wipe with a dry rag is needed. The mmi screen was left with a similar residue. The pedals and left foot rest of driver don't appear to have been touched. I don't expect every crevice to be cleaned and I did not check. But if something is in plain sight within a minute of getting into the vehicle it should be clean. The short porter should take advantage of the Audi seat presets to return the seat to the way it was for the owner. Overall the service is friendly and efficient. I guess that is why I expected everything to be excellent. Address the details and this would easily be the best dealer I have ever worked with. More

All past experience with this dealership has be Prior to today, I've not had any serious work done on my 2012 A3 (just maintenance or recall repairs). All past experience with this dealership has been positive; however, the past few weeks have been painful and frustrating. Earlier this month, I brought my car in because the "Air Bag" warning light came on. I was told I needed to pay a diagnostic charge to troubleshoot the repair, but that when the issue was found, this charge would be applied to the repair work. I agreed. After diagnosis, I was told that an airbag sensor needed to be replaced, and that this part would cost $225, plus labor. 2 issues with this: first, I found the exact part (also new) at another Audi dealer for $100 less; second, despite being told both before and after the initial diagnosis that the initial diagnostic charge could be applied to this repair, I was told that would not happen, and I'd have to pay the full repair cost. After confirming the part and part number needed with the service director, Andy, I ordered the warrantied part elsewhere online. Once received, I brought in the replacement part to be installed. After waiting a few hours, I received an email from the mechanic indicating that the part I had ordered was not the part needed for the repair, despite confirmation from Andy. Dismayed, I confirmed the new part number with Andy (for the correct airbag sensor) and ordered it, wasting money and time on the incorrect part. After dropping my car off for the repair with the second sensor--now day 4 at Audi--I was informed via email later in the day, by the mechanic, that this part did not solve the problem, and that either the car had an electrical problem somewhere (likely), a bad controller (unlikely), or that the replacement sensor was bad (also unlikely). The mechanic also stated, within the video in the email, that troubleshooting the electrical would cost $500-$1K in diagnostic charge alone due to needing to remove many interior sections of the car, and that the issue might yet not even be found. So, after first unethically stating that the original diagnostic charge would be applied to the fix (it wasn't), then making mistakes in diagnosing which faulty airbag sensor was bad (and trying to overcharge for the part), then stating that the airbag sensor was not the problem, and that lots more troubleshooting hours (and thus, $) must be thrown at the problem with potential that the issue might not be found, Audi--via Andy--could not give me good reason to give Audi Hoffman Estates further opportunity to rectify my car's airbag warning light issue. The best Andy offered was to give me a few bucks (like, $15) off... for the privilege of charging me an extra $500-$1K in diagnosis alone, not to mention the potential extra labor costs and parts required to fix the issue, not to mention without a guarantee of finding the fix. Yeah, no thanks. Four days in at Audi and two unnecessary parts paid out of my own pocket. Very disappointing! More

They were able to fix my car in a timely fashion and the service technician was informative. The only thing that prevents me from giving a five star review at this time is that when my car was washed there was a scratch that appeared on the bumper that was not there prior to washing. I did not realize the scratch was there until I returned home from the dealership. Mike Colles was great. More

Prompt service Great response by Mike T as usual. Only concern would be the difficulty getting through by phone to the service desk. Have found very long wait times Great response by Mike T as usual.
