Tire Pressure Had a tire problem where I was losing air and the indicator light kept coming on. Not only was it fixed, but it was also found in another tire. My regret is not asking what tire pressure I should be using in the front and rear tires, since what appears in car's booklet is different from what appears in the door jam. BOGUS $528 "DIAG FEE" FROM AUDI HOFFMAN ESTATES I really need to voice my concerns on this visit around Dec 6, 2018..... About two weeks prior to this issue, I was there getting my oil change servic I really need to voice my concerns on this visit around Dec 6, 2018..... About two weeks prior to this issue, I was there getting my oil change service. I was informed that my 55k, mile service was due, which included timing belt, spark plugs and other services. Though my 2014 A8L has only about 42k miles, I was told that time had come before the miles. So, I accepted the recommended service, and what would have been the regular oil maintenance service, turned into a cost of over $1300 bucks. During this same visit, I was told my battery tested poorly and replacement was recommended at an additional $268 plut $145 to install.. I accepted that recommendation, resulting in a total bill near $1800 dollars. Two weeks later, and only having driven the vehicle home since this service, I notice the tail lights flashing (as if the hazards were on) in a "glitchy" sort of way while the car was in the garage, withought car being started or running. I checked the hazards which were ok and not turned on. Just a glitchy type of thing - a blink here and there....Days later, i go to drive my car and the battery is dead - So, I realized I had No electrical Issues, nor issues of any kind prior to the battery being changed. I called and the service writer suggested something may have accured during the battery installation. I took the vehicle to Audi of Hoffman Estates. They assumedthat after "testing components" and finding no problems, the issue may have come from my remote start system becaused they "disconnected and reconnected it" and the problem vanished - while at the same time, they confirmed that my remote start had no issues and could only " assume" the issue may be the result of a simple "reset". With this, I walk away with zero problems and was charged over $500 in "diag" fee's and was told there were 4 hours of diag but i was being charged 3 hours of diag, resulting in a bill of over $500 dollars. I believe that the issue was caused when Audi of Hoffman Estates changed my battery BUT they COVERED UP they're Error by blaming it on a "possible reset" of my remote start system which ended up having zero problems. All of my servicing has been with Audo of Hoffman Estates. Realizing that I had just recently accepted recommeded services including BATTERY CHANGE,timing belt, spartk plugs and other services, They Could Have WAIVED the BOGUS $528 "DIAG" fee due to recent services rendered as recommended which cost me nearly $1800 dollars. But a Bogus $500 plus diag fee?? after spending $1800 a couple weeks prior? Really?? Pure Rip Off!! My vehicle had zero issues prior to the battery change. Shame on you AUDI OF HOFFMAN ESTATES for being GREEDY RIP OFF ARTISTS. Truth be told, I'm NOT Sure ANY of the recommended services were actually done. I have NO Proof that parts were replaced. Only a Paid Bill. But I'm Sure you did something with my battery due to the immediate issues afterward. However, The LOSS of my service business will cost you more than the BOGUS $528 DIAG FEE you just charged me for an issue I believe was a result of the replacement battery install which YOU apparently Covered Up by "assuming" it was my NON-Faulty Remote Start System. Moving forward, I'll have my vehicle serviced elsewhere. The One Star is only because there are no catagories for a more Negative Score. AUDI OF HOFFMAN ESTATES ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS! More
