We bought a used truck on Saturday evening that had a 30 day 1000 mile warranty & the next day my husband was cleaning the truck & noticed that the bed liner was basically just a rubber temporary liner that day 1000 mile warranty & the next day my husband was cleaning the truck & noticed that the bed liner was basically just a rubber temporary liner that was thrown in to cover up a big rusty hole in the bed. We took the truck back to the dealer on Monday & told them we wouldnt have bought the truck if we had known it was like that & we were told that they would replace the entire bottom of the bed of the truck. On Wednesday, my husband got in it & it wouldnt start, after several tries he finally got it to start & went back to the dealer. They "reprogramed the anti theft system" & said it was good to go. That same evening we took the truck out & every time we turned it off we had problems getting it started. My husband took it back to the dealer on Thursday & told them we were done with the truck & no longer wanted it.He found another vehicle on the lot that was only a couple hundred dollars more than the price of the first truck & the salesman (Tony Greer) said that we could definately make that deal if it would keep us happy since we were long time loyal customers of Auffenberg. After they left my husband sittiing for several hours while "trying to make the deal work" I left work to go find out what the problem was. When I got there I was told by the sales manager (Mike Murphy) that the truck that we paid $12,000 for on Saturday was now worth $8000 on Thursday & that the deal could not be voided & he would have to treat it as a trade in. So basically they sold us a piece of overpriced junk & had no intention of doing the right thing. We had bought several brand new cars from Auffenberg in the past but will never do business with them again after having the worst car buying experience of our lives. These people are where the used car salesman cliche comes from. More
Lee Cook was very helpful in finding the F150 that I wanted. When using the USAA car buying program, of the three dealerships that initially contacted me, Belleville Ford was the only one that really t wanted. When using the USAA car buying program, of the three dealerships that initially contacted me, Belleville Ford was the only one that really took the extra time to do a follow-up with me from the auto generated emails that you get from each dealership when you use USAA. Although they didn'th have the F150 FX4 on the lot that I wanted, Lee kept working the length of the state to find the vehicle I wanted. Once he found it, we worked a price that I was happy with and then drove from Springfield, IL to pick it up. We waited a little longer than I wanted to see the finannce manager but once in his office he was very informative and walked us thru all the financing information. I would recommend my other military friends to use this dealership and work with Lee Cook when using the USAA Car Buying Service. More

I couldn't have had a better experience buying my vehicle. I explained to Mike what I was looking for...vehicle type, mileage, maximum monthly payments...and he found me a car to fit exactly what I n vehicle. These guys really took care of me. I was looking for a smaller car with better gas mileage, and after figuring out my needs and wants, we decided on the Focus hatchback. As far as service to someone that can buy 2 autos at the price we had gotten, I thought they made us stick around for nothing. We could have gone home and finished the deal the next day. They said the compu price we had gotten, I thought they made us stick around for nothing. We could have gone home and finished the deal the next day. They said the computers went down. How many times have you heard that in the 21st century? Not many. And the financing rate was like we were being xxxxx. I will refinance at the soonest opportunity as Ford is the biggest ripoff scheme in the midwest. 3.85? Well we will see after 3 months of paying their crap if I can refinance with our bank or our insurance company at a rate which will be at least .5 percent lower guaranteed already. So I will make our 36 month loan a 30 month loan at the same price. So I will be saving 3 months of this crap we were dealt. More
