Overcharges on diagnostic testing and customer service is awful. They charges us 1700 to replace fuel injectors and took two hours. Service department makes it extremely difficult to schedule the mileage checks that they require for the warranties. Their messaging insists on texts to schedule and that is impossible to get a time that works when you have a job that narrows times that will work to do the drop-off. After the first feat of getting an appointment for the regular maintenance, the inspection they do left my AC rattling. They have now refused to see it without me paying an inspection fee on an item that they left in disrepair. I "waited too long" to complain about the appointment in July - despite the calls on August 2nd, 5th, and 9th - then leaving a text on the 12th which was never sent back to schedule with me. I sent additional requests in through their website. I finally decide to try again as the rattling has never stopped even a month later and now I WAITED TOO LONG. Good grief, how many times must I be the one to initiate contact for a scheduling. Sure, it's my fault. As I am sure it also would not be their fault the noise just happened to coincide with the inspection that it has made the sound ever sense. I am sure the 300 dollar fee to get it looked that they'd waive if it was found they did something would be a thing that they would totally accept responsibility for now with as much care as they take care on scheduling. None, if that's not clear. Terrible scheduling, poor service that has left the car with an annoying sound when all it needed was an oil change. Don't go here, it's an act of futility to get in anyways if you cannot just take any old timeslot they feel like allotting you, so do not waste your time. More

At first polite and helpful, for day of drop off. 2nd day: Phone call escalated to where I was being called a liar and a thief. 2nd part of phone call – the navigation / maps worked for him. We both agreed to look at what I was doing to what he was doing when I drop off the truck in the morning. 3rd day: Ignored me upon my arrive. Gave me the silent treatment. Basically, thru the keys at me while having a tantrum about how he’d not going to help me because I ruined his night last night. John Koch has some good tendencies about him, but the few moments I shared with him he was a rude, ill mannered, disrespectful, person who lacks professional self-control. More
August 2023, after waiting for over 2 months for my Oil Change & Tire Rotation appointment I took my 2015 Elantra GT in for service. I was told that I was to receive a free rental car because the service may require an overnight stay at the Service Dept. But to receive this ‘Free’ rental car, I was required to sign a document that pre-approved charges up to $500.00 which are identified as: 1. If the rental car is returned with trash within, there can be up to a $250.00 cleanup fee. 2. Animals are not permitted in the car, otherwise there can also be a $250.00 cleanup fee As I am a 83 year old retiree, I have a pet Pocket Beagle that I take to the Park twice a day and he does shed. And since they wanted me to pre-sign that document, I told the Service Dept that I was not going to sign that document, plus I already have paid $1500.00 for their 10 year Priority Club Premium Warranty Plan which is valid to January 28, 2025. After ‘conversations’ with the Service Manager I retrieved my automobile’s FOB and drove to an Automobile Service in Collinsville and paid $50.00 for Oil Change and $30.00 for tire rotation. The Service Manager was adamant: "If you don't sign the form, WE WILLNOT SERVICE YOUR CAR." More
Deceptive business practices - they advertise their cars for way less than kelly blue book, but when you get there, they will give you exactly the same amount less for your trade in. I went to buy a 2023 s for way less than kelly blue book, but when you get there, they will give you exactly the same amount less for your trade in. I went to buy a 2023 santa cruz, priced as just over 34k - 4k below blue book.... just a few days ago (literally 5 days ago) I had another dealer offer me 16k for my trade in and said they prob could do a bit more. kelly blue book says its worth 16 - 20k appx. soooo...what does auffenberg do...well, they take and offer me 4k less for my trade - yup - offered 12k for my trade...to obviously make up the difference for what they marked down the car the were selling (nearly exact same amount) - so what does this mean for you? well - you end up paying full retail price for their car - aaaaaannnnnddd - they get your used car for 4k less than trade in - so likely are making double off of your used one when they sell it! Its a racket, its unfair business practice, its almost a bait and switch tactic and most importantly its unethical. OH! I almost forgot the kicker - they will run your credit before they talk to you about any of this - so now your credit score takes a hit too. Completely unacceptable. This is not keeping the customers best interest in mind...in fact - they don't care about anyone but themselves. More
