I was working with this dealership on a cash deal for a used GMC Savana 3500 and explicitly informed them upfront that I was an out-of-state buyer. Everything was moving forward fine with that context—until I asked if they offered a military discount, requested a walk-around video, and asked for pictures of the undercarriage to check the frame. I also let them know I am a disabled Somali combat veteran dealing with severe PTSD because I wanted a completely transparent, stress-free deal. Instantly, the entire story turned. Despite knowing from the start that I was out of state, the sales team suddenly claimed they have a strict policy where they "don't sell used cars out of state" to kill the transaction. Knowing this sounded incredibly fishy, I called back and spoke directly to Sales Manager Tyler Jarek. When I confronted him with the fact that their own public, verified reviews show them processing out-of-state deals all the time (including a used car buyer named Zach on their CARFAX page), Tyler claimed they "only sell new vehicles out of state, not used." Zach’s verified public review from January explicitly states he bought a USED vehicle out of state in cash. The second I requested transparency on the vehicle's frame condition and asked for a military discount, Tyler Jarek and his team magically invented a fake "no out-of-state used sales" rule to blow me off. They are fabricating dealership policies to avoid honoring a fair deal or showing the underside of the vehicle. To treat a combat veteran with such blatant bad faith, deceit, and disrespect is a complete failure in customer service. The General Manager and the dealership ownership need to look into Tyler Jarek’s deceptive tactics immediately. More
