Bad experience this time around. When I took it to another mechanic (Midas), they quoted me $600, and then, after looking at the seal, said that it wasn’t even broken, and passed my inspection (auto fair charged me for the failed one regardless). What the other owner of the mechanic shop told me was, there was oil spilled all over the area where the seal was (probably when they were doing my oil change, which is what I initially brought it in for), and that that was probably their basis for saying the “$1,600” part and labor needed to be done in order to pass inspection when it in fact did got. Whether this was the case or not, either way it’s sloppy. Always good to get a 2nd opinion, and also get a MUCH cheaper price for the same work, if it REALLY needs to be done. Mechanics’ can get in trouble for falsely inspecting vehicles when REAL work needs to be done on them in order to pass. When I told the guy Adam about this poor experience today, from when the last time I was here, he basically got all defensive about it and tried to deflect by starting to tell me about window tint, and then said “what do you want me to say about it”, after asking him what he meant by “window tint”, which doesn’t even have anything to do with the mechanical aspect of a car. On top of that he didn’t even bother to tell me that the synthetic oil changes went up $20 ($89.99 from $69.99), BEFORE I got the work done, and when I tried searching for an e-mailed promo on my phone to apply, he said that he “couldn’t add it because I didn’t bring it to him before”, I’ve had other salespeople apply them afterwards plenty of times. After years of service at this location (and bought a car once), I won’t be brining my vehicle(s) back for anymore servicing, nor will I buy a vehicle from here in the future. People don’t like being lied to, and price gauged!! More

I was compelled to go to Honda Auto fair. Due to a emission problem light coming on. My Honda Pilot has a Fuel injector recall in the recall it states that if the emissions problem light come Due to a emission problem light coming on. At the dealership I’m informed that it’s 225,00 to put it on a diagnostics test to see if the code is the one for my recall. So I’m stuck taking the chance that it’s not the recall. In this situation I feel like this should have been done for free even if the code was not for the recall. At the least taken off the overall bill if I had the unexpected service done there Because I can only go by what the car safety light shows me and what I’ve been advised by Honda to do. The problem ended up being a purge valve cost 75,00 parts. 600,00 labor for two hours of work. 225,00 for the diagnosis was considered labor. This my friends is outrageous. More

They have exemplary customer service. I had to bring my 2011 Honda CRV jn for a recall. When I pulled into the garage I swiped my suv into a yellow poll that I didn’t see.
