Ruined a Subaru Corporate "Good Will" Repair Experience Our independent mechanic notified us of a Subaru service bulletin that this dealership DID NOT. They quoted us $5000 in repairs. Our mechanic suggested we contact Subaru Corporate. We did. Our cost: $0. After, they badgered us for service reviews. When I told the young lady on the phone of my dissatisfaction regarding their performance, and insisted on no longer being contacted, she politely agreed to remove me from their call list. Then, Robert McDermott called me anyway, and proceeded to argue with me - despite the fact that a one man, sole proprietor mechanic had outperformed their entire service department and saved us thousands. So, Subaru Corporate paid to keep our good will - then Robert McDermott destroyed it. More

I now own my 5th Subaru (3-outbacks, 1-Tribeca, 1-Ascent). With the exception of a few issues, I have had good luck with the brand until now. This car is having major brake issues and my brakes s 1-Ascent). With the exception of a few issues, I have had good luck with the brand until now. This car is having major brake issues and my brakes started making a grinding noise at 10k miles. The dealer changed the front rotors only, and promised me that if this problem persisted, they would take care of me. Well the problem persisted and had the issue 3K miles later. They told me that they are unwilling to resolve the issue because it is a drive ability issue not a warranty or ware issue. I ended up speaking with the sales manager Matthew Curran and he heard my issue and told me he would get back to me. I never heard back from him after a week and when I call now it goes directly to voice mail. They also told me that it was Subaru of america that refused to honor the warranty but I learned from subaru of america that Auto fair refused to do the work and never communicated with them. This is a very sleazy company and I would advise you to stay away and do business with someone else. There are a lot of other reasons why I am not happy with this dealer and would never do business with them again!! If you end up doing business with this very unprofessional company, don't trust a word that comes out of Rob McDermott's mouth. He is by far the biggest liar that I have ever meet and extremely unprofessional as well!!!! More
