I was shopping specifically for a 2008 Acura MDX. I already had a 2006 Acura TL, which I had bought at Carmax in White Marsh three years ago. After months of online research, I test drove an MDX at Carmax and had my TL appraised. I then went to Frankel to have my TL appraised and drive a specific MDX I found on the internet. I was put together with Paul Nicholson, and he happily said he would come in on his night off to meet with me because my schedule was limited. Nothing is more valuable to me than my time, and Paul understood that. We had a great test drive, and he gave me the freedom to take my time and explore the car's features after the drive was over. He left me with the car while he dealt with the appraisal of my TL. Frankel did a much better job than Carmax in preparing the car for customers to test drive. It was immaculate. If not for the odometer, you would think it was brand new. Also, because it was a certified pre-owned, Acura threw in a one-year extension on the warranty (something Carmax doesn't do). I thought the MDX was fairly priced -- not a steal, but a fair price. It was 2K more than the one at Carmax, but it also had 11K fewer miles. And, as I said, it was in better condition. With the added warranty, it was a no-brainer. I gave a small deposit, and we agreed that I would take delivery at 11am two days later. When I arrived, Paul had everything ready for me. The entire deal went smoothly and relatively quickly. There were no surprises, and I was extremely happy with the entire experience when I left. Paul and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. All of my questions were answered. I thought I would always buy my cars from Carmax. But in this case, I'm really glad I didn't. This was just a great experience. One small negative was that I drove away in my new MDX with less than 1/4 tank of gas. I'm used to dealers, even with used cars, topping off the tank when they detail the car for a purchaser. A relatively small expense for the dealer would have saved me an immediate trip to the gas station. More

After "lurking" in Frankels' showroom for about a year/year and half, I decided to lease (my first) a 2011 TSX Tech in a manual. Dring my "lurking" I was approached and had several converstaions with the above sales people. Frank Wilfong however actually leased the car to me. But Steve Davids and I had many interactions as well. I consider myself a "driver." I truly enjoy being connected to my car at all times. Frank Wilfong used to race cars for many years and I consider Steve Davids to be a "driver" as well. It was nice to be in the company of people who are passionate about driving and understood what I was after in a car. Never did I ever feel pressure or uneasy about cruising the showroom with anyone there. Frank and Steve would take the time to engage me (by name!)time after time. Test driving the TSX and TL was never an issue for a lurker like me. After the test drive there was never ANY pressure to "buy now" it was very straightforward and simple; "By Frank/Steve, see you soon." I already knew most everything about the TSX and TL before I entered the showroom. Therefore, Steve, Frank, and "AJ" really sold me "Frankel" and moreover, themselves. I consider myself easy to please, hard to impress. I expected some obsticles along the way in leaasing my new car, but never actually had any!! Frank Wilfong's "numbers" all worked out, the car was delivered on time, and some of my small, but special requests were taken care of before I took delivery of the car. Frank explained the systems of the car which enabled me to use most of the tech stuff that day. I actually got the impression that I could swing by there any time, any day, and get help after the car was delivered. Having worked many years ago at different car dealerships as "lot-boy" I know what can go on at there. I never got that impression at Frankel. Even being suspicious of dealerships did not changed my view of the kind folks that worked with me. My wife will in need of a car in the up-coming years, I would do more business with Frankel in the future. More

My purchase of my 2008 Acura TL was a pleasant one. My specific needs on the purchase time frames were very unique, the sales rep was very patient on the matter and worked with me till the very end. The agreed-to terms before/during the sale on minor car appearance needs were honored by the dealer, for which they extended me a loaner vehicle while my purchased vehicle was being serviced. I totaled my car back in august and to say the least I was pretty upset by it and on top of that the whole entire month was pretty terrible for me. The car was INCREDIBLY clean for being a 2002 I feel like I am getting into a brand new car every time I go out. When I asked how the previous owner kept it in such pristine condition they told me they only use Diamond Detail for their detailing work. I’ll be sure to take my Acura to them for cleaning from now on! Paul Nicholson and Terry went out of their way for me not once not twice but THREE TIMES and in all honesty cheered me up. I did end up buying the car and I am VERY happy with it. I really think Paul understood me because he has daughters of his own and made me feel comfortable not only with the car but about my situation. I will never buy an Acura anywhere else! I highly recommend asking for Paul or Terry at Frankel Acura. More
