Very Disappointing and Misleading Purchase Experience! My experience attempting to purchase a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 from AutoNation Chevrolet Coral Gables was extremely disappointing. The tr My experience attempting to purchase a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 from AutoNation Chevrolet Coral Gables was extremely disappointing. The truck was advertised online at a specific price, but the purchase agreement emailed to me did not reflect the advertised offer as presented. Instead of receiving a clear and straightforward explanation, I was presented with conflicting figures and additional costs that made the transaction feel misleading. I was ready to purchase the truck immediately. I even offered to finance through GM Financial so the dealership could earn the financing reserve, rather than paying in full through an ACH transfer from USAA. This should have been a simple transaction: honor the advertised price, provide an accurate purchase agreement, and complete the sale. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that I purchased a vehicle from Mercedes-Benz of Coconut Creek, another AutoNation dealership, last year. That experience was flawless. The online price was clear, the vehicle description was accurate, and the transaction was handled professionally from beginning to end. The difference between the two AutoNation stores is remarkable. I have served as the general manager of several boat dealerships and currently consult with underperforming dealerships. I understand dealership operations, financing, margins, incentives, and the importance of accurate advertising. Regardless of whether a dealership sells Chevrolet, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, or another brand, customers should receive the same basic standards of honesty, transparency, professionalism, and service. Customers should not have to argue with a dealership to receive the price publicly advertised online. If a price includes conditions, rebates, financing requirements, or qualifications, those terms should be clearly and prominently disclosed before a customer invests time trying to purchase the vehicle. I escalated the matter directly to AutoNation’s senior leadership because I could not understand why a store operating under the AutoNation name would handle a ready-to-buy customer this way. I genuinely wanted to purchase this Silverado from AutoNation Chevrolet Coral Gables. Unfortunately, based on the lack of pricing transparency and the significant difference between the online advertisement and the emailed purchase agreement, I cannot recommend this dealership. More
