There were several problems: I traveled 190 miles to make this purchase and things were going well until the dealership finance manager insisted that I needed the VIN# of the vehicle I was purchasing on a my this purchase and things were going well until the dealership finance manager insisted that I needed the VIN# of the vehicle I was purchasing on a my current insurance policy or else I could take the vehicle off the lot. They did not tell me this in advance.Since it was on Saturday I was unable to contact my insurance broker to add the VIN# to my current policy. The salesman however advised I could contact a friend of his to start a new auto policy and get the car off the lot and I could cancel the policy in 3 days. Since I needed the car I took out a new auto policy which included a deposit and completed the purchase. When I returned home I went to my insurance broker who told me that the a new insurance policy was not necessary but was a duplication of my existing policy and he sent a cancellation notice to the agent who issued the new policy. I am still trying to obtain the deposit a gave to the agent and the insurance company. The second issue is the salesman never mentioned that this vehicle's sunroof had a leak problem and had stained the headliner in rear left compartment area. This fact should have been disclosed when I first asked about the car. I am taking the car to a local dealership to check the sunroof issue. Finally after having the car for about a week I found insects crawling over my car hood and I called in an exterminator who stated they were "crazy ants" and had been the car a while. The exterminator treated the car for $125 and hopefully this will solve the problem. Bottom line this dealership has treated me unfairly by by not disclosing the insurance requirement "before" I came down and by not disclosing the sunroof leak and bug problem. The service deptartment at this dealership does not respect customers’ time. I got there at at 6:45am to have a simple oil change performed on my car and was the first person in line. The service agent Beatrice, advised that my car would be ready in approximately 25 minutes. Didn’t get my car back until an hour and a half later! That’s unacceptable. I’m sure my car was complete, but the agent/dealership couldn’t make the effort to check on the completion of the work. Their goal was to take in as many cars as possible. Once they have your car, you’re at their mercy. This will be the last time I get any service done at this dealership. It is just the worst. Save your time and sanity and go somewhere else. More
