The buying process is great. The service center and collision center not so much. The pass few oil changes I've had an issue. I ask to have my truck detailed while it was there and they told me it isn't worth the money to get it done, but then tried to charge me $300 hundred dollars for new breaks the same day. Then the next visit has caused me not to go back. I called and set up an appointment for the oil changed and tires rotated, I also asked them while it was there if the body shop could look at some paint damage and give me a quote to repaint it. Both the service center and the body shop said it was fine. When I went to drop it off the service center refused to take it to the body shop or to call them to tell them about my truck. They told me to walk across the street to talk to the body shop. When I get over to the body shop they told me they would not look at the truck unless the service center approved a warranty paint job. I explained again I was just wanting a quote for the repair it was not warranty work. The guy then snapped at me that I would have to pay him to look at my truck and any work that needed to be done. I told him I just wanted it looked at and a quote. He still instead I would have to pay for him to look at it. I told him never mind, guess he didn't want my business and walked back to the service center. When I went back to pick my truck up they tried to charge me for the oil change. I told the guy he was wrong that I still had two free changes with them since I purchased my truck from Autonation. The guy then got mad saying that I should have told him. I have never told them, it's in my file. I still have one more oil change with them but honestly after that rodeo I will not be going back. My truck will go to my repair shop. I'm also in the market for a van but at this point I'll look at other dealerships. More
I came in to get a key made for my F250. . They quoted me $400 on the phone, then when I drove my F250 up there, I waited and waited, without being greeted, and finally tried to grab someone . They quoted me $400 on the phone, then when I drove my F250 up there, I waited and waited, without being greeted, and finally tried to grab someone to get them to talk to me. David told me he would be required to make 2 keys - at $400 each. I already had one functioning key, and did not need 2. He said he could not make just one key. I went to a competitor, Ryan Ford in Sealy (25 miles away) who not only made me just one key, they only charged $259 out the door. This is not the place I would take my vehicle, nor would I buy anything here. Go somewhere else where you can find honest people in Service. More
Overall the dealership seems to be efficient on handling most things and any questions that we have had. Our sales rep Oscar however has not been as helpful. However, When we were told that they could not rotate the tires because the Lugnuts had swollen and they cannot get them off, we were disappointed. They could be replaced for $160 which is unheard of!!! This seems to be a manufacturing error by Ford because no other car I’ve ever had has had this problem. So instead of buying lug nuts there, we went to a discount tire store and got all of them replaced and tires rotated for $50. So not only were you over the top on pricing your error but you couldn’t even do it without charging. I find that ridiculous —— if it’s your error you should’veCorrected it. More
Katy Ford has done great work with my car, which I bought from them new 2.5 years ago. Only downside and reason for 4 and not 5 stars: service takes quite a while. The service is great, but three hours fo from them new 2.5 years ago. Only downside and reason for 4 and not 5 stars: service takes quite a while. The service is great, but three hours for an oil change last time seems a bit much given I scheduled a specific appointment time on the online site. More
