$360. 58 out of my pocket because their finance department cannot calculate out-of-state registration fees. Then they refused to reimburse me. Their finance team used a sales-tax-only tool for my entire Wisconsin registration. It missed the title fee ($214.50, they charged $47.20), the $75 hybrid surcharge, the $100 registration fee, and the $10 loan filing fee. All fixed fees. All published on the Wisconsin DOT website months before I bought the truck. Wisconsin DMV billed me $352.30 for the shortfall and CC'd AutoNation directly. The state told them they messed up. They still said no. My salesperson blamed Wisconsin for "recalculating" the fees. The General Manager emailed: "it is the customer's responsibility to pay any difference." His last word: "This will be considered our final decision." They made the error. The state confirmed the error. They refused to fix it. Complaints filed with the Colorado Auto Industry Division, Colorado AG, FTC, Wisconsin DATCP, BBB, and Ford. If you are buying from out of state, run your own fee calculations. Do not rely on this dealership to get it right. More
This was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had. They raised the price on me and would not honor the original price and then they refused to remove the "optional" 3 yr theft protection bec ever had. The communication was terrible. I had to reach out for updates on my vehicle. I called 3 days in advance before my appointment to ask a few questions and never heard back from anyon I had to reach out for updates on my vehicle. It is pointless to have an appointment when it takes 3-5 days just to get a diagnosis. No one ever offered a loaner vehicle while my vehicle had to sit in the shop for a week just to get diagnosed. Excellent 60k service on my Ford Escape. Jason was extremely helpful. First time ever I’ve received photos of work in progress. Even had a ride home and back to dealer later.
