I must first say that it is correct that we are a large public company and we are based in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. The benefits of purchasing from a large company with many resources is a huge advantage to the consumer. To attempt to allude to the fact that we are not a local dealer and are not involved in the comminity is a false statement. We recently donated a van to a family with six special needs children to take care of. You simply have to listen to the radio or watch the news to know this. Unfortunately, the internet is not and never will be a forum where you can ever tell whether someone is being completely honest about their bad experiences. Often times a few facts can get in the way of a good story. Being in the retail industry, our goal is not only to win customers, but happy customers. As part of that goal, we recognize that there are circumstances where it is evident prior to a sale that we cannot make a customer happy no matter how hard we try. A dealership that has a 3 Day return policy (Clearly Stated) is not in the habit of telling customers that they have a binding contract, in order to intimidate them to accept a vehicle. Misquoting people and putting their names out for millions to see may not be illegal but it is most certainly not a practice that I would ever be a part of. When I chose to not sell you a truck, and your husband protested, I realized that the situation would not be healthy for my business. If the two of you could not agree then I had little chance of creating any type of win-win situation. If you remember when I told you we were not willing to sell you the truck, your husband stated "Just because you don’t sell me a truck do you think I can't affect your business." In thirty years of retail that was the first time I was threatened by someone that was not buying something from me. AutoNation Ford Marietta responded

After several days of negotiation an agreement was reached with the customer, however after final numbers were agreed upon, the customer wanted to add several items to the “Dealer will fix list” which were refused by the Sales Manager based on the settled negotiations. The customer proceeded with purchasing the vehicle. After leaving the Dealership with their purchase they decided they were unhappy with the purchase and instead of calling and taking advantage of the 72 hour right of return policy, decided to post the above review. The General Manager immediately reached out to the customer .Upon the customer’s arrival at the Dealership they met with the General Manager and he immediately, offered a complete refund and rescission of the purchase. The customer agreed to return the vehicle and their money was refunded.
