Ever break down away from home? It’s a sinking feeling that your trip has been ruined along with lots of stressful doubts about what happens next and how you will get home. After experiencing a rather ca that your trip has been ruined along with lots of stressful doubts about what happens next and how you will get home. After experiencing a rather catastrophic failure of the tie rod (and it’s attendant loss of steering) our vehicle was towed to the nearest Ford dealer for repair. Enter Bill Talbott, who, with a check of his computer informed us that he was currently scheduling work for about a week away. Our schedule had us returning home in less than 48 hours- talk about a sinking feeling! While we were contemplating the prospect of renting a vehicle to get home only to have to return in a week and drive TWO cars home, Bill was busy searching for some opening in the shop schedule where he could possibly fit us in. After a consult with service manager Nick Hesson, these two not only found the time but had us back on the road within a few hours! What an incredible relief! Any dealership can sell a bright, shiny new car but the true test of integrity falls to the service department. I think everyone knows just how disappointing bad service can be. In this day and age it seems many have forgotten or re-defined the meaning of the word “SERVICE”, not so at AutoNation Ford. My sincere thanks to Bill and Nick as well as the AutoNation techs for their expertise and understanding care. Thank You!! More

I dropped my Explorer off for several recalls and to be serviced at 8:00AM, I was told that it would be completed by 1:00PM, but it was not done until 5:00PM. I was forced to reach out to the service depar serviced at 8:00AM, I was told that it would be completed by 1:00PM, but it was not done until 5:00PM. I was forced to reach out to the service department at around 1:00PM to see what the delay was and was told that the Quick Lane was busy and it would be no more than another hour. I sent another test at 3:30PM for an update and after not receiving a response, I called and was told that it would be done by 4:00 and they would send the shuttle for me. The service advisor called my at around 4:00 to tell me the driver was on the way, but he then asked for my address again, leaving me to believe the driver had not left yet. The driver picked me up at 4:25 and I was able to then pick up my Explorer. I do not understand why it took so long to service, the excuse I received from the advisor was that the Quick Lane got really busy, but my Explore was in ahead of everyone else, but apparently they stopped working on it to handle the customers that came after. If the Quick Lane was not capable of handing the recall, why was it put there? I do not plan on returning to AutoNation Ford for service or to purchase a new Ford. More
