I’ve used this dealership for years to service my vintage 2005 Honda CRV. Only once did I have a snafu, until a few days ago. The battery needed replacing, which was picked up in a 14 point inspection right 2005 Honda CRV. Only once did I have a snafu, until a few days ago. The battery needed replacing, which was picked up in a 14 point inspection right before a cross country trip. Yeah! On my second day of driving alone, when I pulled up to a convenience store, the battery cut out and the radio stopped working. In the middle of nowhere Colorado. A trucker alerted me to a small town, once the car agreed to start again. Thirty miles later, the service manager of a Ford dealer physically shows me a loose and corroded positive battery terminal that should have been replaced when the battery was switched. They shimmy it so I can get to my destination safely. While the dealer has agreed to pay for repairs as I travel, I’ll be inconvenienced trying to find a reputable place to have it fixed and lose time with family. I’m also left wondering what might have happened to me if the battery had cut out as I was crossing lanes at 80mph on I70. From now on, while I won’t change dealers for future service, I’ll be asking to verify service is properly done each time I go in. More
