It was true refreshment to work with this dealership and skip all games and trick that they usually put you through when buying new car. Yes, we could go somewhere else to try and beat his offer, but him being upfront and providing exactly what customer asked, no more no less, regardless of that potential risk cemented our decision to work with him and this dealership. When we got to the dealership, Jeremy was not available right away so Ms. Janet Moore was there to help us out with test drive and her and AutoNation's team were able to demonstrate all features and characteristics of the vehicle we were interested in to make sure that everything we saw in online specification is really there and that this Honda Pilot has all features and functionalities we were looking for, and trust us, my family was really specific in what we were looking for. Next in line was start of the day, Mr. Nick Schulz. We worked with Nick on the deal, discounts, trade in and Nick was really pleasant and knowledgeable, trying to provide best value and options that are available for AutoNation's customers. Everything was fast and efficient, without mind games that are usually associated with dealerships. After brief negotiations with Nick we reached agreement and we can tell that we did get what we wanted in price range we were willing to pay. At this time Jeremy also got in to help with paperwork and we finally get to meet person who initiated all this journey. At the end, it wouldn't be fair not to mention Ms. Michelle Cruz, who was responsible to finalize our deal as financial manager for this dealership. And as you may guest it, everything was fast and easy without any additional overheads and "horrors" they are telling you about when you get into financial office. The paperwork was super fast and easy, without any surprises or hiccups in whole process. Our whole experience in AutoNation Lewisville was great and hassle free that I can't recommend them more to anyone who is on the market for new car, 10/10, especially new Hondas. Side note, we were there with 2 smaller kids and everything was so fast, that they didn't even have a time to become mischievous. Thank you Nick, Jeremy, Janet and Michelle. We were greeted promptly and were shown the vehicles we were really interested in. The dealership is unfortunately one with “haggle free pricing” so there are no deals to be had. There are also mandatory dealer add ons (dent protection and paint protection) that raised the standard MSRP price by $1,000 BUT they were the only one in the area with the model and color car I wanted, so it was the best deal I found. I had done months of research so I knew what model car I warned but the wife wasn’t 100% convinced. A piloted test ride by the salesperson followed. After leaving the parking lot, the brand new car was promptly raced to redline, clutchlessly shifted and beat on for the next 15 minutes all to prove the point that this particular model was “fast enough “. Upon returning to the lot with the clutch and brakes stinking from heat, we went inside to sit for the next 1-1/2 hours while the paperwork was drawn up. I had inquired about adding some factory Honda accessories that I had seen on the manufactures website. The request was taken back to the parts department to get pricing and availability. When returned, I was told they could get the parts but it would be more money than shown online. After questioning why, the GM came out and introduced themselves. He explained they couldn’t honor Honda’s pricing because they had to make their own profit from the sale!!! $1,000 more than list price and I had to install the pieces myself. News flash, Honda pricing HAS profit built into their cost already! (I went to a different Honda dealer that same day and got all of my parts at normal price.) The rest of the sales process went well and we got the keys and paperwork about 4 hours total after we walked in. We got the car we wanted and are quite pleased with it so far. Apart from the horrid test ride and disappointing parts inquiry, the experience was not all bad. I do not want the review to be entirely negative. If we were not shopping for such a particular model, I am sure our experience would have been different. With limited production and high demand, I have made my peace with the transaction. I am just grateful to get the exact car I wanted, at a fair price. More
