be very careful if you are buying a car and/or trading in your car. Sales person, I would give a two star, very pleasant to work with but does not know much about cars I was looking at. basically did same your car. Sales person, I would give a two star, very pleasant to work with but does not know much about cars I was looking at. basically did same thing I did at home and went on-line. bad part is they lied to me. Car fax showed the car was in an accident but was fully repaired and accident was listed as Minor. It looked ok as I did my walk around, but I took it to Mazda and they pointed out some gaps in the body (i.e. rocker panel and front bumper). that would be significant cost to have them repair. 2nd lie - tire air pressure light was on, I inquired about it and was told it would go off after 25 miles. It didn't, took to Discount Tire and it had a bad sensor ($70). 3rd Car came with no cupholders but inspection report said it did. 4th - key fob did not have auxiliary key in it. My point being is that I was told a few times in this process that they hold themselves accountable and believe in full transparency. I sent and email and texted but no response. I love the car but wish my experience had been better. In the end it was my responsibility/choice to purchase. if you make it to the finance person to sign the contract, there is a "We owe" section. important here not to take sales persons word and make sure you document everything they said they would take care of. Finance guy will put "nothing owed". So the lesson learned is, don't believe the pre owned auto inspection report or sales person/sales manager, have the car checked out by someone you trust, and get other opinion of what the car might be worth and if trading in, what your car fair market value is. Then you can offer an our the door price and maybe they will work with you on trade-in value. I cant really blame the sales person for not knowing but someone there could have pointed out what was done or not done to the car, what was missing, or what needed to be replaced (Full Transparency) before I got sent over to the Finance person. Would of made my experience a 5 if those little things would have been done. there are many on-line and in person places to look for used cars. if you want to set yourselves apart, its in the details.
