Sleazy - tried to sell us a car with a lien on it Test drove a used Honda Fit, liked it and went to pay for it. The first line on the forms said something like WARNING, form to be used only for lost title or lienholder. He said they needed two copies in case the state of Illinois lost one. Red flags galore. We asked to see the title - oh, he replied, it must be at the headquarter office, they don't have it here. Huh??? He leaves and brings in some manager and when we ask if there is a lien on the car he eventually admits there is one. We ask why that was not disclosed and he actually said "well you didn't ask." I had a check in hand, got up and left. The manager followed me out to the parking lot trying over and over to get me back in. No way. Beware these scammers!!! More

I bought a used Honda Element from them and was told that they had to take care of the getting the license plate and registration from them since I was out of state. Well first of all once the the temporary plate expired, I still had received my new plate so couldn't drive the car for several weeks until they emailed me a letter to drive around with until I got it. I spent weeks on the phone trying to find out what was going on----MOSTLY NO ANSWER!!! Then I was told they had a new phone system and having problems with it. WORST OF ALL I WAS CHARGED $839.31 FOR THE LICENSE AND TITLE WORK!!!!!! When I questioned the amount because I knew that it was WAY WAY TOO HIGH I was told that if it was less I would get a refund. Well I got my plates and found out that the charge was only $220.04 and have been trying to get this straightened out for several weeks. Again, mostly no answer at the dealership, but still no resolution. BAD BAD PEOPLE More

Deceitful Dealership I purchased a car at AutoNation a few weeks ago. While I love the car, the purchase experience was deceitful. The car as listed on TrueCar and other sites had a lower mileage. When I brought this up, they did nothing about it. The car was also a CPO. The salesman didn't seem to know this. When he found this out he decided to charge me $700 for it. Later they removed the fee but made it seem like they were giving me a deal. They claim "No Haggle" but that's all they do. Spend your money elsewhere. They don't have to change unless people stop going there. Wish I had purchased somewhere else. More

Unfortunate Experience 2011 Honda Odyssey was brought in for service for a defective piston ring. A known class action suit extended a warranty on this faulty part and they 2011 Honda Odyssey was brought in for service for a defective piston ring. A known class action suit extended a warranty on this faulty part and they took partial responsibility for this after keeping our vehicle for over 1 week to determine that Honda would pay for half of the repair. I would have loved if Honda national would have accepted full responsibility for the repair and that the process to get an answer for this should not have taken over a week. Extremely poor! After the repair, 2 engine bolts were left on our vehicle and likely caused a chip on our windshield as a result of this carelessness. The chip generated a cracked windshield that they did not the responsibility for. They said that they have been doing this for 19 years and this was not the cause. I completely disagree with their forensic analysis and believe that deductive reasoning would lead them to conclude that the damage occurred in their shop. They say that they are customer friendly and care about the consumer, but when it comes down to dollars, they really are just looking out for their bottom line. More

I just got a second oil change and both times when I got home and parked my car in the garage, I found a small puddle of dirty black oil. Seriously, how does that happen? I've had many cars in the past 30 years and have never seen that. In addition, appointment schedule means nothing to them. Every time I had to take the car in, I waited there for over 20 mins just for someone to acknowledge me. Customer Service is the last priority!!! More
