Did my research on internet so I knew exactly what kind of car and price I wanted to pay. I ended up buying a used 2012 Honda Civic for my son. I went out of my way to go to Honda O’Hare AutoNation as th of car and price I wanted to pay. I ended up buying a used 2012 Honda Civic for my son. I went out of my way to go to Honda O’Hare AutoNation as their prices on-line seemed VERY competitive. I went into the dealership and it was very busy but Al immediate noticed my son and I needing help. We explained to him which car we seen on-line and he immediately showed us the car and took us for a test drive. We were in a bit of a hurry so I made an offer very close to asking price as their prices seemed very fare given my research. My offer was accepted and I was excited thinking we’d be able to make this as quick and painless as possible. Everything about this dealership and our sales person Al was excellent. The only reason I rated my overall experience as good instead of great was that after our offer was accepted it took about 2 more hours to complete the transaction. I was paying with a check and no financing but putting all the necessary paper work (which I do understand is a lot) and getting the car prepared for us to take took a bit longer than I was hoping. Otherwise, everything went very smooth and Al was a great sales person. No pressure and just genuine good customer service. He really went well above the call of duty to ensure my son fully understood the vehicle and all its functions. He treated my son like he was his own children which I very much respected and appreciated. He also called me the next day to ensure all was good and also gave me his personal cell number and told us to call him ANYTIME if we had a problem….Great guy and excellent service and highly recommend O’Hare Honda given my experience. I was connected to O'Hare Honda through my credit union. Gina contacted me shortly after I submitted my online request via the phone and over e-mail. She provided a competitive quote on pricing and union. Gina contacted me shortly after I submitted my online request via the phone and over e-mail. She provided a competitive quote on pricing and encouraged me to stop in at the dealership. At the dealership, I was introduced to Stan who arranged for a test drive and answered all the questions I had about the new 2014 Honda Accord. Stan was very friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with the car, but I was not ready to buy at that point. I indicated this to Stan and I told him I wanted to do a little more shopping and research. Stan respected my desires. He did not apply any high-pressure sales techniques. Instead he just wanted to equip me with all the knowledge I needed to make an informed decision about a car that I liked. Days after visiting O'Hare Honda, I visited another Honda dealer to test drive the car that I was interested in one more time. After the drive, I was immediately subjected to a high pressure sales push even though I mentioned that I was not ready to buy at that time. We did not get all the way through the pricing process, but the aggressive sales person made it sound like I could possibly see a few hundred dollars in savings vs. the O'Hare price on the surface, but regardless of whether or not this was the case, I believe there is something to be said about the customer experience. At this point I was more sure about the car I wanted, but I really valued how Stan and Gina treated me vs. what I was experiencing at this dealership. I didn't enjoy being treated like a "faceless quick sale target" and I walked away from the deal. Over the next few days, Stan, Gina, and I corresponded over e-mail and I ultimately went back to O'Hare Honda to get my new car. Stan and Gina were both at the dealership the night I bought my car. They were friendly and helpful throughout the process and the process went smoothly. Stan made sure I knew how to use key features on the new car. He even took the time to retrieve the IPass adhesive pads from the windshield of my trade-in so I could use them in the new car. I feel like I got a good price. I don't know if I got the best price, but I got the best customer service/experience. I don't buy cars often, but when the time comes again, I would love to work with Gina and Stan again. Mary was knowledgeable about the cars I was interested in and made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and knowledgeable about the car I wanted. Mary made me feel special like I was her own kid or something! She gave me the biggest hug after I purchased my car and stayed late to make sure my bluetooth was set up and that I knew how to operate the navigation. It really is the little things that make the biggest impact. I will definitely make sure I refer anyone looking for a car to O'Hare Honda because of he excellent treatment I received there. More
Anatoly 'Big Al' went over and above my expectations. From the test drive, to the final handshake, 'Big Al' was most knowledgeable and informative. And, it doesn't stop there. He is available on his personal phone anytime I have a question or concern. He called me yesterday to make sure I was happy with the car, and offered more information about it. I highly recommend him. Sales Mgr. John was also very polite and friendly. Of course, I would have liked to have felt I made a 'great deal', but I can't complain too much over a couple of hundred dollars considering the outstanding quality of this beautiful car. The deal went through without a hitch with all the paperwork details completed within a relatively short amount of time. More
We bought three cars from Honda and this was the second car we bought from O'Hare Honda. Both times service was excellent and price as well. We bought Honda Accord 2014, and we are absolutely in love with car we bought from O'Hare Honda. Both times service was excellent and price as well. My experience at Ohare Honda was excellent! I was given a great price on my new 2014 Honda CRV - it's exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Stan provided incredible customer service; very friendly and helpful, but not too "pushy" at all - which I truly appreciated. Marc from the finance department was also incredible to work with and he went out of his way to get me the best financing terms possible - also truly appreciated. I felt like they actually cared, which is rare in car sales...at least in my previous experience. Overall, I was very pleased with the whole process, from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Ohare Honda to anyone looking to buy a new Honda! More
Probably one of the worst and most awkward experiences I have ever had when looking at getting a new car. We came in looking to purchase a new vehicle after speaking to an online sales manager, and were sho have ever had when looking at getting a new car. We came in looking to purchase a new vehicle after speaking to an online sales manager, and were shown multiple models within the same price range. One of the models was heavily discounted at well below the MSRP price. As soon as we showed interest in that vehicle however, the sales person that was assigned to us began to try and up sell a different vehicle with fewer trim options for the same price. Sadly this wasn't the worst part yet. After we told the sales man that we were interested in potentially leasing the car and trading in our current vehicle the salesman disappeared for about 30 minutes and came back with a printout of our email conversation stating that we were initially interested in the lower trim version. We said yes, but now that we saw the other car, we wanted that instead. He said ok, and took the keys for the vehicle that we were looking to trade in, presumably to get an estimate on it. After what seemed like another 30 minutes he came back with a lease quote for the lower trip vehicle. The one that we were no longer interested in. One more 30 minute wait and he finally came back with the right cars estimate. However when we looked at the quote we noticed that it was almost 50% higher than the other model. We asked him why and were told that it is based off of MSRP. When we tried to find out why all of a sudden we were being charged a price which was almost $10000 higher, the sales man just said he wasn't sure and walked away. He came back with the "leasing specialist" who proceeded to explain that the vehicle costs the MSRP and there is no discount for it. No matter how much we tried to talk to him, he just spit back the exact same answer. Seeing as this was going nowhere, we simply said thanks and walked out. When we got back to our car we noticed that it hasn't moved, and no one even took a look at it even though we were told that it was getting appraised. It seems that this dealership is not looking at making any sort of lease sales, since the salesman don't make as much commission off of them. The most interesting part is that I leased vehicles before and never had anyone tell me that they can not honor the advertised price for a car. This is the first time a salesman refused to do a deal and repeatedly lied to my face. Horrible and deceitful service. Great prices, but since they don't honor them, whats the point? More
I recently purchased a Honda Odyssey from O'Hare Honda. My sales person was Anatoly. Overall, the experience was very good. He was straight forward, to the point and very personable. He was not pushy and even provided his cell phone number for me to use any time (day or night) if I experience any issues with my new minivan. He followed up after the purchase to make sure I was happy with the car and I really do believe he will be accessible if I run into an issues in the future. I read a few bad reviews about this dealership but my experience was a great one. The only complaint is that they don't budget on price at all - once you are quoted the "best deal" - that really is the best price they can offer so put your negotiating hat away. But all things considered, Anatoly made my new car purchase as painless as it can be. Thanks Anatoly! More
