Worst car-buying experience of my life. We have been using the dealer's service department for ten years and wanted to go there for a new car purchase. After telling us how much they appreciated our lo using the dealer's service department for ten years and wanted to go there for a new car purchase. After telling us how much they appreciated our loyalty and how they wanted to make "people like us" happy, they kept us in the showroom for nearly three hours, finally reneging on the deal upon which we had agreed, trying to squeeze and extra $1,000 out of us. It was the worst kind of bait and switch. If this is how they treat their loyal customers, I'd be interested to see how they treat newcomers. More
My past experience with O'Hare Honda was not exactly positive. Given that, I decided to give them another try looking towards a purchase of a new CRV. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. I think they must have gone thru some sensitivity training. No hard and fast sell here. Our salesman took the time to show us all the features of the car and take it on a test drive. When it came down to price negotiating, once again we were surprised that our competitive email quote from another dealer was honored. We also received fair trade value on our old car. We were able to drive our new CRV home that night. Overall, this was the best new car shopping experience we've ever had. I can honestly say that now I am a loyal customer of O'Hare Honda. More

A couple kids and some years later, we needed something a little bigger. It was very busy when we got there, but the receptionist called someone to take us a test drive, and we met Shahbez. He could not have been more accommodating. Every question we had was answered, any issues we had were resolved. He was patient, very comfortable to talk to, and extremely helpful. We were very happy to find a CRV that we both loved, that was affordable, and that fit the needs of our family. Our positive interactions didn't stop there. In financing, we got to work with Sam, who was very informative and completely engaging. It was a pleasure working with him, and we felt like we learned some important things about warranties, and owning a car in general. For once, we felt like we were treated like people, and not just numbers. As we were getting ready to go, my husband noticed some scratches on the one side of the wheel well. Shahbez personally tracked down a porter to rub them out, to make sure we were 100% satisfied. This extra step was just so nice. Our whole experience was wonderful. We felt like all our needs were met, that we were listened to, and most importantly, that we were treated like adults. I cannot say enough good about our experience. We will definitely be back for our service needs and for any future purchases. Thank you to Shahbez and Sam, for all their help. We really appreciate it. More
I purchased my Honda CRV in 2005 and have always had my oil changes and regular maintenance work done with their service dept because of the excellent service, accomodating and courteous employees, and the oil changes and regular maintenance work done with their service dept because of the excellent service, accomodating and courteous employees, and the cheerful waiting room. My most recent experience at O'Hare Honda was regarding a problem with my air conditioner. Greg, my service rep, spent the time to track down my service warranty and called the warranty company to find out if my air conditioning problem was covered. Greg also informed me that I was enttled to a 24 hour car rental which he would arrange for me to be picked up and brought to the rental company from O'Hare Honda. Greg told me that he would have the part needed to fix my air conditioning by 9:00 the next morning, so I decided not to use a rental. I dropped my car off the next morning and a very courteous employee drove me home. My car was fixed by 2:30 that afternoon. More
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH O'HARE HONDA. I recently visited O'Hare Honda and test drove a new Civic. Initially the salesman was polite and respectable. I felt pressured to purchase that day, but left since my intentions were only to examine the car and make the purchase later in the week after I thought about it for a few days. I called the salesman the next day after I was prepared to buy the car for the price he offered me the previous day. I informed him over the phone that I wanted the same price he offered me the previous day and would not be willing to purchase it for more. He insisted I come to the dealership and would try his best to provide me with the same offer. Once I arrived, the manager came to our table and provided an excuse as to why they car was now $500 more than the the offer made to me the previous day. I walked out of the showroom, but the salesman followed me and persuaded me to come back in. He gave me a "discount" of $200 then tried to force me to buy mudguards for $400. I didn't ask for mudguards or want them and certainly did not want to pay $400 for them. After complaining about the $400 mudguards he reduced them to $188. This would practically eliminate the entire $200 "discount" he gave me earlier. The salesman had to go "check with the manager" about everything and made me sit there and wait like a fool for 10-15 minutes for every issue. The entire negotiation process took close to an hour and a half and we were back to the original price that I walked out on. I was fed up with the price games and walked out extremely frustrated. I contacted Castle Honda and negotiated the "out the door" price and was approved for financing prior to my arrival. I purchased my new car from Castle Honda two days later. The entire process with Castle Honda was very pleasant and smooth. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH O'HARE HONDA. More
Ryan was very helpful. I had to go in for a recall on my Ridgeline. The job was supposed to be a half day but Ryan was able to get it done within 2 hours, since I needed my truck before noon. The best car buying experience I've had. They gave me the best price for the purchase of a 2011 Pilot (no other dealership in the Chicago area came close) and a fair price for the trade.
