I drove 40 miles each way to have my oil changed at a Honda dealership because I value having Honda maintain a record of my routine maintenance. I mistakenly assumed that having a 10:00 a.m. appointment meant my vehicle would be taken in for service around that time. Instead, it appeared that the appointment simply meant arriving at 10:00 and waiting behind numerous other vehicles already in line for service. I arrived promptly at 10:00 a.m., but it wasn't until approximately 10:45 that a service representative, Raul, came out to speak with me. I had another appointment at home at 3:00 p.m., which should not have been an issue under normal circumstances, particularly since I expected the requested update to take only a few minutes. Given that it had already taken 45 minutes just to speak with a service representative, my first question was understandably how long the service would take. I was told that the oil change would take approximately an hour and a half and that the software update would take five or six hours. I was surprised by this estimate, particularly because I had specifically mentioned that I had other commitments that afternoon. Rather than offering any reasonable alternative or attempting to accommodate the update during my visit, I was simply told to come back another time for the update. As a result, I drove 80 miles round trip and spent approximately four hours of my day just to have an oil change performed—a job I could have completed myself in about 30 minutes. I now still have to make another trip to the dealership to have the update performed. The biggest issue for me is not simply the amount of time involved; it is the lack of clear communication about what my appointment actually meant and the lack of effort to make the visit worthwhile given how far I had traveled. Needless to say, I was very dissatisfied with this experience. I chose a Honda dealership specifically because I wanted the convenience and confidence of having my vehicle's maintenance and updates handled properly by Honda. This visit did not provide that experience. More

I went in for an oil change but later discovered my tie rods were cracked and old, I ended up deciding to get those done as well a the whole process! I went to Honda Auto National because my air conditioner stopped working. We were having triple digit weather and I was so concerned how much this was going to cost. I had to leave my car there for a few hours and they offered to order me an Uber to my house free of charge. I was home about 3 hours when my advisor contacted me and told me what was wrong. He then said it was covered under the warranty so I did not have to pay for the repairs or the diagnosis. I was thrilled! He then offered me another Uber to get me back to the dealership. which I gladly accepted.
