The Tempe Autonation Hyundai did a great job. Max Moon was my advisor, and he was great to work with. However, the issue that remains outstanding is that I bought my car with an extended warranty Max Moon was my advisor, and he was great to work with. However, the issue that remains outstanding is that I bought my car with an extended warranty from another dealership (San Tan Hyundai), and the Tempe dealership was not able to communicate with the extended warranty company when I took my car in for service. Both Max and I have reached out to San Tan, but neither of us have been successful with a response as of today 8/31/22. I have been communicating with Kyle Stark at San Tan, and he has been very helpful. I expect that he will get in touch soon to help sort this out. It is not acceptable to me that I purchased an extended warranty from one dealership and confirmed when I purchased the vehicle that I would be having my service done at a dealership closer to my house and now that I have tried to use the warranty for small repairs, the Tempe dealership is not able to contact the warranty company. San Tan Hyundai needs to help sort this out, and I expect that they will. More
Took my car in for service April 25,2022. on Apr. 28th I called and was told needed part - 7 to 10 days. Never received calls or info unless I called in. The numbers for the dealership never answered for service - only sales which I called twice and asked for dealership manager and was told he would call me - he never called. On August 19, 2022, I called corporate and they called me back on August 23. The dealership service FINALLY called me on August 25th to tell me my car was ready. When I picked it up on August 26th, 2022, the battery was dead. I understand they had construction going on but they could have hired someone just to return calls at least. Or if you can't handle the business, refer customers to another dealership. More
The service that I needed to maintain my truck was done in a very timely manner. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Even while they renovate the dealership, making for a less than ideal set-up (summer in Phoenix!) for the service team, I was treated with respect and professionalism. Over the last year or so, the service department has been less than stellar, which was not the case previously. Realize some things are out of their control like supply chain issues, no computer chips from less than stellar, which was not the case previously. Realize some things are out of their control like supply chain issues, no computer chips from a factory that burned down, mechanics not working/available. I accept all of these issues and don't condemn them for those things. But beyond that, the customer service and communication is very poor. No one answers the phone when attempting to call for a service appointment, and there is no voice mail or the ability to speak to anyone. The only way to make an appointment is online and that can be problematic as well. The first advisor I worked with was extremely unhelpful, rude, and non responsive. I will never work with him again. Hank Thayer was the second service advisor I worked with and did help me get an issue fixed that the first service advisor refused to address. Hank was courteous, professional, and and responsive.
