I took my Prius here to get an oil change after getting a coupon in the mail for a discount. After leaving the dealership and making another stop for groceries, a warning light came on. I took the car back t coupon in the mail for a discount. After leaving the dealership and making another stop for groceries, a warning light came on. I took the car back to Power Toyota. First they claimed I had put diesel in my car instead of unleaded gas. They said they would drain the tank the next morning because it was almost closing time. I then found out the station I had bought gas from did not even sell diesel! Angry with Power Toyota's incorrect diagnosis, I called the next morning when they suddenly changed the diagnosis to an electrical problem that would cost over $600 to fix. I was about to pay them the money to fix it until I read another review online where someone had a similar problem with oil change then warning light from this SAME dealership. I decided I would not let them touch my car. I picked it up the next day, and mysteriously the warning light had disappeared. My car is running perfectly and continues to have no problems 1 month later. I will never take my car to this dishonest dealership again for service. More
Started talking with a representative in Dec 08...assured of what to expect as far as financing...even got an email. Didn't decide to buy a car until now, June 09...called, again assured of interest rate and of what to expect as far as financing...even got an email. Didn't decide to buy a car until now, June 09...called, again assured of interest rate and financing...NO PROBLEM. Got there and they have a tag team style...good guy, bad guy. My husband walked out. They final made us a better deal, still not great. Bought car only because I didn't want to have to go to another dealer and go through the same thing again. NOT WILD ABOUT DEALING WITH CAR SALESMEN. Car didn't have the tag with ID number for key and now I have to try and get that from them...grrr More
I had been taking my wife's Sienna there for several years. A little over a year ago, I was told that the valve cover gaskets were leaking. Rather than spend $1,000 for them to fix, I had a friend repla years. A little over a year ago, I was told that the valve cover gaskets were leaking. Rather than spend $1,000 for them to fix, I had a friend replace the gaskets. The next few times in, I was told that he had missed a gasket and it was still leaking. Not seeing any evidence, I ignored their adice. Last time in, I was told that there is a major leak and that the timing belt was drenched in oil and also needed replacing. Their estimate for the work $1,500. I had my mechanic look into this, no sign of any leak, and the timing belt was bone dry. I will not be going back. More
I went to Power Toyota in Irvine to "look" at the new '10 prius. The sales guy understood I came to look and wasn't planning on buying. They didn't have any in the lot so he went to check the availability a prius. The sales guy understood I came to look and wasn't planning on buying. They didn't have any in the lot so he went to check the availability at the front desk and next thing I know a pushy front desk manager comes out with him wanting me to sit down (he sat down first) and talk about which options I wanted. I told him I wanted to look at the car first, but rather than telling me when more cars will become available he told the sales guy to take me out to the lot and look for a non-existent prius. Looks like I'm taking my business to elsewhere. More

Unfortunately I have a Toyot center twice already now the same problem pop up. Yesterday I sent an email to resolute this issue no body responded. Unfortunately I have a Toyota Corolla, my feelings is that the dealership probably ignoring the cause becuse I have becuse a less expensive car compare to other cars. I am disappointed becuse I did not hear from the service center. More

I have a Toyota Corolla 2009,(had a good one) and I am staying in Orange County. I took my Car for the 10,000 Miles service to Power Toyota of Irvine. I was shown a plan for $98.99 which covers all kinds staying in Orange County. I took my Car for the 10,000 Miles service to Power Toyota of Irvine. I was shown a plan for $98.99 which covers all kinds of checks for 10000 miles. I had 2 additional issues, as 1) Vehicle Acceleration at higher speeds, is not switching to higher gear ratios, for a smoother drive. 2) Car, is not having a good pickup at lower gears. The Dealer took 1.5 Hrs to do all the test where they claim they did driving test, all fluid levels top up etc. These were my list of worse experience with them. 1) They had damaged, my car engine hood, where paint was chiped in 3 locations , possibly due to some tools used during service. (Careless handling) 2) Break fluid and other basic fluids not topped up properly. 3) Disk Break dust not cleaned properly in the front wheels. 4) Instead of 30 psi on all 4 tires, they have set 40 psi on each tyre. 5) When I gave the car for service, the only issue was, the 2 which ive mentioned at the top. But after the service, they added one more which made me pannic when i was driving on Interstate - 5(I-5) at 65miles/hr. A constant rubbing sound, a high frequency sound from the front. As soon as I press the breaks it goes off. Power Toyota, did not resolve the 2 issues i mentioned at the top. But introduced one more, and damaged my Car's Engine Hood by chippping off the paint. Service Men, Joseph , after all his mistakes, talks as if I am guilty of some wrong doing, when I talk about the wrong pressure setup for my car wheels as 40 psi. Service Manager, hates to walk out, and solve the problem. Customer Relations manager, spoke to me once, and told will talk to Both the service men and service manager and get back, but did not turn up at all. They have spoilt my weekend. They damaged my car. Introduced new problems. Took my car, in the name of fixing the problem, and have asked 3 to 4 more day, for fixing the problems they created and introduced to me and to my car. I have lost hope on my car, if it is any more a good car / or a good company. They say, I have to stay with what ever car I am given as a replacement for 3 to 4 days for rent. They have held my $50 in addition to all this nonsence , as a car rental hold, and have given me the worst of all, Chevy Cobalt. Also $8.99 every day, towards the Insurance which Enterprise (their rental service provider, wants me to take, as the dealer will not pay for it) I, mean, the dealer will not pay for what ever the problem they caused. Does your dealer mean, Chevy Cobalt is better than my Car which was running fine before I got it to them? All the only mistake I think i did was, I took it for a service at 10,000 Miles, to end up in this mess. I am very upset and the reason : 1) My week end was spoilt 2) I have taken the risk of driving the uncomfortable Chevy Cobalt 3) No Proper response from the delership who caused all this problem, i would say, its a disrespect for any customer who has gone through so much. 4) Spoiling my week 5) I have paid $98.99 + $50 (in hold) + $8.99 a day(till they give my car back from service). And all this amount, for none of my mistake. 6) The Careless sevice man, says that, since the service was completed ( it was completed with lot of faults to cause all this mess in my car), that they cannot even hold the payment of $98.99 dollars. But they will charge me, as it was done as per records. I am loosing money every day.. and is this what toyota wants to support? More
We had such a positive experience here. We were met by Nick (salesman) and he worked with us until we found the right car at right price. Great guy - ask for Nick when you go! Their customer service is Nick (salesman) and he worked with us until we found the right car at right price. Great guy - ask for Nick when you go! Their customer service is also awesome, the finance guy, Kevin, was good, too. The receptionist was always friendly as well. More
This is a dealership with a VERY pushy sales staff. Very aggressive. They try to make you think what they want you to think. I asked their internet department to email me a quote to compare to another deale aggressive. They try to make you think what they want you to think. I asked their internet department to email me a quote to compare to another dealership. The man on the phone said I'd have to go there for him to match any offers. He argued that I may do something like show or tell the quote to another dealership and not call him again. So? As consumers that's what we do, I replied. I understand that bypassing the sales staff, or at least having that illusion, and going directly to the fleet management may step out of the area of customer service behavior and into regular negotiation behavior. Still, this made a bad impression for me. I also physically went there to look at a used truck. The stereo was incomplete with no bass or sub woofer. The option on the Alpine control was there, but made no difference when I tested the stereo system. There was a wire sticking out of the bed liner, which they said will be fixed if purchased. I put the truck into consideration. They said it would be gone by the weekend. As of yesterday, it's still there, about a few weeks after I first saw it in my first visit there. I dealt with a number of staff members and friendliness and customer service varied so I rated it a 3. On the phone Toby said they'd put in a sub woofer in the used Tacoma if purchased. I asked if I can have an independent mechanic check the truck before deciding on it. He said that I can do it after the purchase, which defeats the purpose of having it checked. I asked again, he went to explaining their 160 something point Certified inspection program. I asked a third time and finally he said I could, as long as the mechanic can check it right away and the vehicle isn't left there overnight. That last answer would have been acceptable and completely fair if it was the first answer he had given me. But instead it took a while to get that out of him. When discussing numbers in person, whenever I explained(in a non aggressive manner) that I'm looking at other dealerships, I got aggressive responses like how I wouldn't find as good a deal or vehicle at any other place. As if that will make me decide right there to stay at the place and complete a deal. Needless to say, I didn't buy a vehicle there. More
You will never find a fair estimate of the service they do at their workshop. I have gone two times to the facility and I have found very hard to deal with the service representatives. Let me give you an e do at their workshop. I have gone two times to the facility and I have found very hard to deal with the service representatives. Let me give you an example: For my 1997 camry, 4 cylinder I had leak coming behind the Timing belt for which it was estimated for $380 + Tax in total. It was for worst case scenario. So I left my car at the facility to have the work done. But after a day, I was told that the cost will be $542 + tax for the same repair. And the reason for teh increase was the earlier estimate given was for 6 Cylinder and not for 4. 4 Cylinder is more complicated to work :). The same type of experience has happened to my another friend. So think twice before going to this facility. I will certainly not recommend anyone. Good luck More
