Decent experience buying a car from Autonation Libertyville Toyota. I enjoyed my interactions with my salesperson Erik. The salesman Lukas we had was horrible; he didn’t even remember he had an appointment with us. When we told him our name he still didn’t know who we were. Mind you he scheduled the appointment himself, sp remember he had an appointment with us. When we told him our name he still didn’t know who we were. Mind you he scheduled the appointment himself, spoke to my husband that week, emailed several exchanges beforehand a couple days before the appointment. Then during the test drive of the vehicle we wanted (we knew exactly the vehicle we wanted to purchase so it wasn’t like we saw several of them) he was on his phone the whole time either texting or on a call because he had another customer who he seemed to be more interested in than us. We get back and he goes and tends to that customer and we are sitting there waiting for awhile. Finally when we get the finance paperwork going, I make it LOUD and clear I didn’t want them to keep running credit checks on me because of the hits on my credit report and he’s like “oh it won’t be a big deal because they are small hits so it won’t affect your score too bad” I told him you act like this is our first rodeo. We bought a house last year and clearly we are older than you and know what we are talking about. To date, my credit score went down 10 points thanks to all the checks they did. If it wasn’t for the vehicle we wanted so much, we would of walked out there because of this ONE salesman. The finance guy Eric was wonderful and he was the only one there that made our experience great. Everything else about the dealership was horrible and I won’t be back to buy another vehicle again because of how we were treated. More
