Was wanting to buy a car as a project car, fairly priced but was concerned about rust. Wanted to put it on a lift and get pictures and or see the condition ourselves, to which they adamantly refused. They said that if the rust is too bad, we can take it back, which the first thing we did was put it up and to find that it was a rust bucket. For the less than 24h we had the car, it seemed in good mechanical condition and the interior was great. Thankfully they were good on their word of taking the car back, but almost a whole day was wasted. More

Extremely disappointed in their service. My car (still under warranty) had a power steering malfunction warning light, they told me it was fine and there was nothing wrong. THREE days later My car (still under warranty) had a power steering malfunction warning light, they told me it was fine and there was nothing wrong. THREE days later my power steering went out on the highway while driving to another state!! I called them to ask for assistance in getting the issue taken care of since they JUST serviced the vehicle and said nothing was wrong. Another dealership looked at it and immediately let me know my power steering rack needed to be replaced! I called AutoNation to understand what options they could provide me now that I was stranded in MI and they said there was nothing they could do. I requested to talk with the supervisor, I was sent through to his voicemail and he didn’t even have the decency to return my call (this was over a week ago) I live in Libertyville but will be driving extra mileage to another dealer for all future service. After months of shopping for a very specific Tacoma through numerous dealerships in the Chicagoland/WI/NW Indiana area, I decided to go with Libertyville. First of all, they had the exact options I di through numerous dealerships in the Chicagoland/WI/NW Indiana area, I decided to go with Libertyville. First of all, they had the exact options I did want, and not the ones I didn't. Second was the dealer discount offered. No one else could come close, or even offer a discount. BS stories about inventory shortages, etc. John L was my salesman. He was great to work with and very responsive. We worked through the deal before I even had to go into the dealership. I then stopped to sign the deal and pay the downpayments and such. Jordan handled that. Very straight forward process without and of the dealer "games" we are all fearful / used to. I was in and out. Both gentlemen were very easy going and made the process, may I say... enjoyable. When it is time for my next Toyota, I will be contacting them first. More
