I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding my recent service experience at AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia on Friday, August 15, 2026. I am a long-term AutoNation customer who purchased my firs recent service experience at AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia on Friday, August 15, 2026. I am a long-term AutoNation customer who purchased my first vehicle from your brand back in 2006 (a brand new Camry Solara). Unfortunately, due to the complete lack of honesty and professionalism during this visit, I will no longer bring my two current Toyota vehicles to this location for service.Incident Details:Vehicle: 2024 Toyota TacomaService Date: August 15, 2026Services Requested: Oil change, alignment, and rear brakesThe Issue:After my service was completed, I walked out to my truck and noticed that the vent visor on the rear driver-side window had been replaced. Looking at the invoice, it cryptically stated that a "complimentary visor" was changed. Confused by this, I returned inside to speak with my Service Advisor. After consulting with her manager, the advisor admitted that the technician had actually damaged my original visor. While she offered to replace all the visors with the WeatherTech brand, I declined because I prefer the specific look of the aftermarket brand I originally purchased on Amazon for $50.Had the dealership simply been honest and upfront about the technician's mistake before I walked out to my vehicle, it would not have been an issue at all. Mistakes happen. What is entirely unacceptable is the attempt to sneak the vehicle out to me without disclosing the property damage.Unprofessional Resolution and Follow-up:To resolve the issue, the advisor asked me to share the Amazon link for my specific visors, which I did. She then informed me that her manager would order them "from his personal Amazon account" and they would arrive at his home in two days. This highly irregular handling of a customer issue is almost certainly a violation of standard AutoNation protocol. The advisor promised to call me by Monday (8/17) or Tuesday (8/18) as soon as they arrived. By Wednesday (8/19), I had heard nothing. When I texted the chat service number for an update, she responded that her manager "had not checked yet" to see if any packages had arrived at his house. As of today, Friday, August 21, 2026, I have still received no follow-up, no parts, and no resolution.Desired Resolution:I am completely done dealing with this service department, and I am actively leaving reviews across all major platforms regarding this experience. I'm not requesting anything from Autonation Toyota MOG as I will take care of this myself. Is not about the visor that was damaged by the tech, but the terrible and deceving act by the employees in the service department. More
