Things were great! Drove away with a Subaru Crosstrek and the customer service was awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was I was practically forced to purchase the extended warranty which I didn’t want but the customer service was awesome. To provide a bit of a backstory, my wife and I began our used car search in Los Angeles. Every used dealership we came across is exactly what you see and hear about on TV (the slimy salesman shtick). We were pleasantly surprised when we expanded our search range outside of LA and found Bob Baker in Carlsbad. Fantastic reviews, family-friendly, and been serving the local community for some time. Sounds too good to be true? So we decided to book a rental car and drive down after looking through their online catalog. We settled on a use car and worked with their sales rep, Shannon. She is the only reason I'm giving two stars as she was great throughout the entire sales process. Otherwise, you would get one one star. We purchase the car and drive it back to LA the next day. 10 days pass and power steering fails on the car while I'm driving on a main road. I manage to pull into a parking lot and after turning the car on/off several times, a message is displayed on the dashboard to bring the car to a service center as there is a problem with steering mechanism. Alrighty, I manage to get the car back home, and we take it to a local certified BMW dealer and ask them to check out the car. Turns out the car has a major steering problem and is unsafe to drive. They provide us with a quote to fix the car. I reach out to Bob Baker informing them of the issue, along with a quote detailing what needs to be done, the car is within the 90 day warranty, and what can we do to figure this out and solve the problem? The Bob Baker website states that, "Our expectation-exceeding service doesn't end at the final signature." Apparently, it does Bob Baker. It. DOES. I was informed that it was my problem to figure out a way to bring the car down. I could drive it down, or have the car towed. To recap, your reps suggested driving a car, that is unsafe to drive, down a 100 miles to the dealership so they can take a look at it, when I've already provided the report. To add to this, (and I understand problems may happen with used cars at any time), Bob Baker provided their inspection report during the sales process. So either the car did not go through a thorough inspection or this was intentionally overlooked. At this point, Bob Baker lost my trust in their capabilities and have reinforced the view that all used car dealerships are the same. Your team lacks follow-up and follow-through. Not once since our last discussion (around December 10th) has anyone from Bob Baker followed-up to find out if everything is okay. We took the car to the BMW dealership and got it repaired. We were originally considering a second car from your dealership as we were happy with the sales process, but this lack of follow-through left a bad taste and we'll take our business elsewhere. More

Easy to access and enter the proper area. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Dealership was busy (which was expected as it was a weekend) but they gave me an accurate and fair time frame to service was friendly and efficient. They lost my car in service queue, then hours later when I came to pick up rushed the service, unevenly inflated tires, and either didn't secure wheels or possibly messed up alignment.
