I have nothing but huge accolades to give to the Bob Barker VW Carlsbad service department. I had taken my 2018 VW bug in for a recall item (very minor) and to fix my cd player. Mind you, I live in no Barker VW Carlsbad service department. I had taken my 2018 VW bug in for a recall item (very minor) and to fix my cd player. Mind you, I live in northern California..... Several unavoidable minor hiccups occurred during the brief time they had my car. I am hear to say Norman (he came in to play when poor Bobby had an unexpected family emergency) did everything he could do to make my experience the most inconvenient as possible. I was offered a loaner car while they waited for parts to come in. I would highly recommend Bob Bakers VW service department to anyone. I will gladly use them again. Kudos to the team...!! More

Did not use service center only sales. Besides our sales rep, Shannon Olivarez who was very good, the rest of the experience was not. After arriving on 11/23 we were bounced around from internet to others u rep, Shannon Olivarez who was very good, the rest of the experience was not. After arriving on 11/23 we were bounced around from internet to others until finally getting Shannon. The sales experience was acceptable except for the fact that I don’t understand how you include an alarm system and extended warranty without discussing with customer. We returned on 11/25 to finalize the deal and pick up the car. The car was a surprise birthday gift for our grand daughter and Shannon really helped us pull it off. We waited forever to see the finance guy who did the paperwork. He was like a robot and sounded like a recording. After receiving the final packet we discovered a key was missing. We went to lunch and they were able to track down the key. My grand daughter drove home to Thousand Oaks. On Friday, the vehicle wouldn’t start and was taken to a VW dealer in Woodland Hills. On Saturday, with Shannon’ s help, we resolved the problem. They did not remove the alarm system. They remotely inactivated the alarm and they still have to send someone to physically remove it.
